Good Morning CGs!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. The weather was pretty nice yesterday, should be decent today as well. Not quite spring but better than 20*.

Tommy I think a C7 would be a nice car to own. Lots of creature comforts, modern technology, and way more HP than you'll know what to do with.

Waiting on some new parts for the Camaro. Can't install them yet with the weather the way it is but I can look at them, at least.

Hope everyone has a great day!

HI MATT,
60 DEGREES ON THE FRONT PORCH, IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IT, BREEZY, OVERCAST. HIGH OF 72 THEY SAY.

MY WEEKEND WAS SUB-OPTIMAL TO SAY THE LEAST. DIDN'T EVEN SELL A BOOK; THE LAST MINUTE SHOW WAS A BUST. DEALERS BUYING MORE THAN THE PUBLIC.

YEAH, IF I WERE BUYING A NEWER 'VETTE THE C7 WOULD BE MY PICK ALSO.

AUTO ROTATION DAY, GOT TO TAKE THE TOMATO IN FOR A MINOR OIL LEAK AND THE TRUCK FOR SOME FRONT IN WORK. ALWAYS SOME DAMN THING---

Good morning, off today an it's cloudy out so my mood is not what it ought to be to get crap done. Why does gloomy skies make people gloomy too? I need to clean house, clean out garage and purge some junk, water plants, etc and meal prep.I doubt any of that will happen.
Yeah I'd like a C7 or a C8, but there's a Rover here now so I will have my C6 for eternity I'm sure. Considering a small camper of a sort and a cheap used boat to poke around in now and then. I like tent camping, Arron not so much but I also like to camp in spring and fall and it gets cold and rainy. I want a 26ft or so pull behind he wants a ginormous bus kind. and, I need to get a lawnmower building purchased so the shop can get cleaned out and him have more room out there. Decisions, decisions.

I'm too old to tent camp. I'll take a camper over a tent at this point.

The closest I'll get to a tent these days is a Motel 6. I've looked from time to time at RVs. Class A diesel pushers are nice but I think a 40-42' is way too big. Class C's are nice and I'd go with a bigger one like 28-30'. Class Bs look nice but a little too cramped for my lifestyle though that would be great for a boat/camper combo. Any and all the above would just end up being more yard ornaments.

Last week someone mowed down the trash carts at the nursery. 2 were destroyed but one survived. The offender must have hit them dead on because one was found a 1/4 mile down the road all mangled. I'm thinking either the driver was drunk or texting.

Got my semi-annual blood tests back and it showed a marked improvement over last test when I went off my meds. My doctor will be happy and looks like I'm good for awhile. Only one test was high. Glucose at 105. That's not too bad for an older dude.

Im old too, and getting cold and wet I just don't dig. I don't want that hassle. I'm at that "get off my lawn" age so an enclosed unit would suit me best now. But the Class As are just too big. It's just the two of us. The 5th wheels are a no-go, and I just saw one about 26 ft that has an outdoor kitchen in the side, plus the bed I can walk all around so easy to clean and make, and the commode had it's own closet and wasn't in with the shower. The sink was a double and appliances were nice. The people took out the bunks and installed a stackable washer and dryer so that was a plus, and the dinette thing had been removed so you could put a smaller table in there with normal chairs or just have more room for recliners or a sofa. I'm liking it. Wondering if the Rover would tow it easily, I'm sure it would knock a dent in the gas mileage. Arron wants a bus says they're easy to drive.

Hey guys..... Long day. Need to back up to yesterday evening... Finished watching the dance recital and headed to a place to eat. While on the way there, I dodged a big pothole in the road and hit another huge one. Didn't see it at all (twilight lighting). Hit so hard I'm surprised the airbags weren't deployed. Car was shaking some. Rosie said it sounded like a shotgun went off in the car. Quick visual didn't reveal anything.

So our first place we stopped this morning was a tire shop. The gentleman there didn't have time to put it on the rack, but, said it was safe to drive home, but it would probably be annoying though. I found out that the faster I drove (to a point) the smoother it ran, leading me to believe it was bent wheels. It was the worst at between 35 and 55mph.

As soon as I got the car unloaded, I took it down to our local tire shop where he took it out for a short drive. He said that he thought the rear wheel was the culprit. We put it on the rack and found both the front and rear wheels on the drivers side had big dents (for lack of a better description) on the inside of the wheels. The front was actually the worse of the two. I have ordered two 'new' (refurbished) wheels from Rock Auto. Local salvage yard found some in New Jersey, nearly the same price as the refurbed ones. So I opted for the refurbed ones. Local guy says he won't be able to tell if the tires are damaged (no visual damage) until we get them mounted on new wheels and see how they balance out. New wheels were $800 delivered.
