lunytnz Do I have to remove the dash pad to remove the instrument cluster on an 87?

I have new Xenon bulbs to put in my instrument cluster (and they don't use the same socket as the old bulbs, so my "cheat" of pulling the old bulbs out and inserting new ones, won't work with the Xenon bulbs).
I saw one video that involved removing the entire dash pad in order to get the instrument cluster disconnected and out. Is there another way that doesn't involve removing the dash pad? Or, do I just need to buck up and do it?

I finally got back to this project and was able to get the cluster out without removing the dash pad. I did remove the 2 screws under the center of the pad (above the controls/stereo) and that gave me a little more wiggle room with the pad, which helped.
