Overcast this morning and the weather gurus are saying not as hot today.

We are about to hit the road to take GGD back. Even though this two year old is a normal 2 YO, and keeps us super busy, we'll miss her.

Well we have a 2+ hour drive in front of us, better hit the road.

Weather .... In Florida it can rain on just one side of the street. Weddings. Sue's cousin spent over $200,000 on his wedding. All I could wonder was "Why?". Visited with some old friends from out of town and some new friends we made at dinner. Went to eat at an Indian (India) restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. I don't know why but I've never eaten Indian cuisine before. I know Sue can't eat it because of the spices (that's why we don't go) but mine was pretty damned good. Ate all that was on my plate. Rainy season here with platy of heat and humidity. Air conditioning is a blessing.

...amen brother on the AC blessing.... Indian food can make you sweat when you eat it.... I like it.... the next day is not good though....

Like Doc says.... you are just as married with a justice of the peace or a 200K wedding.... somewhere in-between lies balance....

..we put on a great wedding back awhile ago... we did all the work and it was reasonably priced... it was in an old barn... the marriage lasted 2 years ..... WTH.... the next one was in our backyard and at a winery.... that one will go the distance....

back at it today.... pray for the best...plan for the worst Guru's....

Good Morning CGs!

AC is definitely a good thing! I'll never own another car without. Noticed the AC wasn't super cold in the Trans Am the other day. Probably needs a top off after 20+ years. I have a spare can so I should probably hook up the gauges and take care of that. 10 oz should be enough to top off 2-3 cars in the fleet. The correct procedure is use an expensive (and large) recovery machine, test for leaks with nitrogen, repair leaks, refill with correct weight. Well that's not realistic. Over time seals shrink, valves leak, hoses leak at a molecular level. A good set of gauges and a temperature pressure chart along with a vent temp thermometer give you a good indication of proper fill. Or you could be Tommy and use the trigger can from the parts store

Hope everyone has a great day!

You know me too well. I have one of the hand triggers and one of the gauged hoses with a fill valve that you screw the can onto. Both work great.

I'm a witness. Very little time spent on the range. But I did spend lots of time with things that go boom.

Thanks Gris, but, I'm lucky one.

When our oldest (Heather) got married, she had BIG plans...bigger than we had funds for. We told her we have x amount of $$$, anything beyond that is going to be on you. Wedding in KC. And so she cut back some, but did spend some of her own money. When #2 (Molly) got married here at home,, we told her the same thing, But we put on the whole deal for less than we put in Heathers. Same with #3 (Jenni), she was living in KC and found out how expensive it was to do the wedding there and we told her same thing. she realized we could do the entire wedding for less here at home and so we did that one here at home. We spent about $15k total ($5k average) on all three over a four year period. Spending tens of thousands on a wedding, in my opinion, is lunacy.
