I've been MIA, I apologize. I think I'm busy but after reading the chats of what everyone else is up to apparently I've been on vacation the past few weeks. Not sure how you guys fit it all in.

Kids are getting ready to wrap up marching band season. They had a state competition on Saturday and although they did really well performance-wise they got skunked by the judges. Politics, I guess. It's in every facet of our lives. Just too bad the kids had to experience it.

Cooler weather is upon us, although it was blissfully warm today. Not too many of those days left.

IT'S REALLY BEEN NICE THIS MONTH, OTHER THAN THE DRY. 60 DEGREES, CLEAR, LIGHT BREEZE, GOING FOR 86.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA. GOT TWO NEW CHAPTERS OF BABY DAUGHTER'S BOOK-IN-PROGRESS, HAVEN'T READ THEM YET.

We got an inch of rain last night... it is like a miracle or something.... nice again today...we just happened to get in the way of a thunderstorm..... pure luck I'm thinking...

going back out to ride in Combines after lunch.... crazy fun.... they steer themselves now.... we just sit there... of course for a half million dollars it should do that and more..... like make coffee....

I'm recovering from my medical stuff which means I'm doing whatever I can do comfortably. Fed the critters this morning. Started to sweat and figured my new incisions wouldn't like that to, much. Got my quote from one company for a replacement HVAC system. Looking at between $11k and $17k depending on the seer rating and quietness. Those are Bosch or RUUD units. Have another company coming in this afternoon. Of course Sue INSISTS I get 3 different estimates. I want to do it before the end of the year as a new eco friendly refrigerant will be required. Expected to elevate the new unit prices by up to 1/3rd more. Shop till I drop.

is that a Florida thing or the whole Nation on the eco friendly refrigerant?.... and what about all this R11 I been saving up? is that stuff still illegal?
