Pleasant so far but warming up. Painted the areas that needed paint on the spiral staircase out back. I want to lay a 3/4" p.t. deck then seal it before we work on a guard rail around the deck. The area is around 13' v 11'. Prolly 4 sheets might do it. 5 at the most. Doing laundry and some house cleaning now. I'm in the Vulcan doghouse again because I refused to do something for Sue. She doesn't like to be told no you know.

Great musician

Hey guys, been MIA for a bit. Slammed recently. Not much doing, then all of the sudden, several things pop up.

Cold snap put a real schnitzle on things the last couple of days. Last Friday we cleared the front room out to prep for new hardwood strip flooring. Rosie decided she was going to paint the walls while the room was clear... makes perfect sense. Then she decides, we ought to scrape the heavy (popcorn) texture off the ceiling... OK, if we're going to do it, now seems like the right time. I arrange to have it skim coated and buy the materials for that. So Saturday afternoon, I start on that and do a 3' square area and really like the look of the texture that's left and call Rosie to look at it...she likes it too, so we don't have to skim coat it now. I finish scraping the heavy stuff off and attempt to roll the paint on. Doesn't work real well and it frustrates me. I decide I'm going to buy an airless and spray it on. So Sunday we run over to the 'city' to buy one, but end up with a power roller stick thingy, because the airless to do ceilings costs about $300 minimum, and I'll only use it once, the roller stick thing was only $40 (and it worked great BTW). But still tell the guy to come on Tuesday as my shoulders were killing me from doing the primer and had him put the finish coat on. Last night, I pulled the old transition pieces off and tried laying out the start of the new hardwood and figuring out what to do with the transitions. Got that figured out this morning and will work on those between times waiting for finish to dry on one of the "paying jobs". Burning the candle on both ends right now.

I hope it warms up a little soon, it makes spraying finish a much easier job. Have a great day guys.

cold, drippy and ugly here too. My hair is now flat and my clothes are damp as I've had to be outside with a couple of clients, dealing with a trailer, pickup truck and such. Keeps business going and keeps me employed. Trying to talk myself into boxing practice tonight, I'm still sore and wore out from last night, but I have a meeting Thursday so tonight would give me my 2nd practice and I try to make at least two of the three per week.
Thanks Tommy for finding my post, I think I was still half asleep since these steroid pills keep me up all night. Search for TV continues, we are disagreeing on what to get. he wants an elcheapo from Walmart, I want a nice OLED. I'm figuring he will win since he's paying for it.
I'll take care of the freezer replacement.

Yes, it does Marc. And I still have the oak floor to put down. It's sitting in the front room "acclimating" for another day or two. 16 bundles with 24 square feet/bundle...weighed 1300#. Rosie did finish painting the walls this afternoon.
