they say.... 42 here today.... it is sunny and clear so maybe...anything is better than what we had....

Our Jura coffee maker is on the fritz... we don't know how to survive without it.... Teeb got us going on the Swedish made jewel of coffee making perfection and we found one on Craigs list for 500 bucks.... it has lasted for years....new ones are all going for $2K on up..... grinds the beans presses the grounds adds the cream or whatever..... it is a testament to mans ingenuity.... we are going thru the chairs and couches for coins and are thinking of getting a go fund me started.... good coffee is what we run on...

bring that warm weather Guru's

Marcus, I believe they call those problems of luxury.
I'm wordless today. Very unusual

Morning guys.... I was up early yesterday. Thursday night we decided that we couldn't, reasonably, haul the queen sized bed, bed frame, mattress and boxsprings in the pickup. So, I wanted to leave for KC by 8am, which meant I needed to go to the storage shed, and retrieve the enclosed trailer and transfer the bed frame from the pickup and get the mattress and box spring loaded. Took an hour to retrieve the trailer, as I had to move the golf cart trailer, then put it back after pulling the enclosed out and button the awning back up, and it's -2* to boot.

We did get all that accomplished and was on the road right at 8am. I didn't pull the trailer as fast as I usually drive without it, so the trip took a bit longer than normal and used more gas than normal...we stopped twice for gas. Got here about 3pm and first order of business was unload the bed and get it set up in the room. We are thrilled because from now on when we stay here, we get to sleep on a real bed instead of the air mattress we have to set up each time and usually have to add air to it in the middle of the night. I will say, we sleep really good last night.

The evening was spent, watching the GS in his school play. Very proud of him.

Today I will be tasked with getting #3s lawn tractor going, dead battery. This is the one I installed the snow blade on last time we were here. When it snowed the other day, she couldn't get the tractor started, so the plow didn't do her any good. Got to get that running.

Have a great day.

We've had to have our Jura refurbished once. Came back like new. Well worth the repair cost. I'll check to see where we had to send it when I get home. But the place Tommy referenced looks like a good alternative.

You guys and your coffee. Sounds like it needs an upgrade. A 3/4 cam, some double hump heads, and a Holley 750 should do 'er.

Tommy, the trip sounds like a nice time. We wanted to take a big trip this summer but the work schedules don't allow it. Oh well. Maybe next year.

Still cold here. Is it summer yet?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks Tommy... this unit has been refurbished once and had just been done when we got it.... The site Tommy had says about 20 days and between $500 to 850 depending on the parts needed.... that is a lot cheaper then a new one.... or would make a good down payment on a new one....

Or..... maybe its time to go back to our roots.....

Well, went out and bought a charger, but the battery wouldn't crank it. So set it for "Recondition". Probably end up at Wally World buying a new battery.

FIXED IT :-)

TO MAKE COFFEE YOU NEED WATER, POT, FIRE, AND COFFEE. IF THE BEANS AIN'T GROUND, PUT THEM IN THE TOE OF A SOCK AND PULVERIZE 'EM WITH YOUR GUN BUTT.
