RAINING, 55 DEGREES GOING FOR 64. SQUALL LINE CAME THRU, POWER BLINKED OFF JUST LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE TO RESTART/RESET ALL THE ELECTRIC DO-DADS. THE CUCKOO CLOCKS WERE UNAFFECTED :-)

ANIMALS FED, CAT HAD TO BE THROWN OUT OF THE LAUNDRY ROOM; IT WAS THUNDERING. SHE BEAT FEET TO THE BARN.

GONNA RAIN ALL DAY, THEY SAY. I'LL GET STARTED ON NAP #1 AFTER BREAKFAST.

KEEP THE NOISE LEVEL DOWN, POR FAVOR :-)

Had to deal with my secondary medical insurance company today and I got a hold of a great agent. She called my doctor's office and had them resubmit the claims and called me back to verify she had talked with them. I dreaded making the call but she was nothing but helpful. Waiting to hear from my solar panel company next. I left them a message. I hate dealing with customer service issues. It gets harder the more I isolate.

I dropped Sue off at the airport over 30 miles away. When I got back to Homestead she called me frantically telling me her medicine bag was in the back seat. Rush it back to her. So I did my best Mario Andretti impersonation driving 80-85 mph. I made it to the airport entrance ramp and was about 5 minutes from Sue. Problem. At the top of the ramp where all the traffic merges there was a major injury accident affecting all inbound vehicles. Traffic was stopped. I inched forward and 20 minutes later I still hadn't made it to where the accident was. Sue had to head to the plane. Took 30 minutes for me to get by that accident site. Sue is without her medication. I can't FedEx it because Spain prohibits medication shipments. Fed Ex wont ship prohibitted items. She is pretty well blanked. I even said before I left ' "Do you have everything?". She was already moving her luggage toward the crosswalk. If I had double checked her or checked the Burban to make sure it was empty that might have prevented it. Hindsight. If the accident didn 't happen I would have made it. This would have been the time to hope for a delayed flight. The flight took off on time. Oh well, it's out of my hands but I'm still pretty concerned. My hands are tied.

geez that had to be frustrating.... I'm thinking that when she gets to Spain if she can find a Boots pharmacy they are owned by the same parent company as Walgreens....maybe she can have them fill her prescriptions there.... this has to happen a lot where folks lose or run out of their meds while overseas.... hopefully that will work out for her.....

Hey guys, The wind started howling sometime around 3am. By the time we got up it was really cooking. We had at least 7 semis blown off the road, or blown over in our county. Emergency crews busy all day. Finally, county officials got US50/400 closed. That's what 85mph winds will do. Winds have eased a little, but not completely until noon tomorrow.
