Hey guys, everyone must be getting a late start.
Pretty day here, sunny, seasonably warm (78 right now, 1:30) and light breezes. Got a message from my back doc telling me I can walk as much as I want as long as it doesn't hurt. So, instead of a 10 minute walk I went for almost 30 minutes. Watching the Royals now, hopefully they can pull out another win. |

2015 Memorial Day Car Show Winner!

Went on the NRCA (Nebraska Rod and Custom Association) Tour Nebraska Run yesterday. Us and 459 other cars put on 290 miles going from small town to small town thru the eastern part of the State. It was the 31st run and there were two guys there that have been on each one of them. They got their cars on the T-Shirt this year.....
The amazing thing was that where ever we went there were folks in lawn chairs under big shade trees or sitting in pickups along a blue highway with lawn chairs in the bed and large coolers.... we must have waved at hundreds of folks who turned out to see the worlds longest car show.... small towns had their streets lined with folks on porches or along the curb in lawn chairs.... most waving American flags and Trump flags..... the variety of cars was amazing.... it was perfectly organized and executed... every turn in the 290 miles had folks there with arrows pointing the way... also they had chase trucks with car trailers to rescue the ones that did not make the trip..... we really enjoyed it.... the 56 just hummed along and we went to the AC after lunch.... may have to make that run again next year.... it will be out in the western part of the State as they move it around each year.... you got to drive them cars Guru's...... |

Good evening gang.
It was sunny and warm here today. Got my trailer unloaded today. The Mrs had her new washer and dryer delivered. I started to mow the lawn today and the zero turn took a crap. The belt tensioner spring broke. Hopefully I can get one tomorrow. If not looks like the lawn will wait till later in the week when the rain goes away. |
