Doctors galore this month and bloodwork next week. I like to see my numbers twice a year so a bloodletting is good. Went to see my primary this morning and I had dog shit on my knee from cleaning up a mess before I left for my appointment. "Schatzilein mit Scheiße am Bein" Translates to Darling with shit on her leg. In this case it was "his" leg. On my way to my appointment I saw a plot of land being prepped for new homes. Beautiful, rich, fertile farm land to be covered up with concrete, asphalt and grass. Sad really. Homestead used to be the nations winter breadbasket.

Same happening here, so many mature trees and green space getting covered with solar panels and cookie cutter, quick-built cheap houses with prices 3x what they should be for greed. "housing shortage" my ass. Here in town, some folks have been rehabbing the old houses over on what I call hooker alley. I almost bought one years ago to flip and passed. Someone else did it and ended up starting a revolution in that area, half the homes are redone now. No housing shortage, just folks want brand new houses all crammed together, tiny and pricey to be bougie. I'd rather have an updated older house, built well and larger with more yard. Supposed to be able to visit the Anheuser Busch event today and see my work, but it's been raining, I sure don't want to be out in that mess but I'd still like to drop by. I might reach out to Bill and get the low down on best time to go. The owner and installer planned to go, they think I'm not good enough to go, but they fail to realize I'm the one dealing with all the corporate folks and they'd not have this if it wasn't for my abilities. Might just ask them if they're hiring while I'm at it. Reminds me, I need to get some cards made for myself for such an occasion.

We have Stop Industrial Solar signs all over around here... as they want to put in a huge solar field which will take hundreds of acres of prime irrigated farm land out of production. Some of the big wheels in town promoting it...like bankers and lawyers..... I heard they have it stopped for now.... a pesky fly or mosquito they will keep coming back... Has anyone seen New Mexico? Hundreds of thousands of miles of nothing and the sun shines all the time there.... go there damit....those wind monsters we have around here are bad enough...

not so hot today.... need to work on the porch steps while its nicer.... motivation where art thou...... oh no here she comes now.....

Now that I'm allowed to let the images out, the Anheuser-Busch annual event here was today , their Discovery Farm Showcase, this is what I wrapped the combine, grain cart and cut vinyl on another unit for. Cold beer, great food and a good time was had by all.

Hey guys, was up early and left for Casey. We have GGD with us and had to stop an extra time. But she’s a really good traveler. Not a whole lot of complaining from her. Hard to believe she’s almost 3.

It was cloudy most of the way here. But, it was pretty warm, saw hi of 83°.

Those farm implements look pretty good Letty. There’s still plenty of good farm ground in western Kansas.

That's some amazing work there VB..... wow.....

..also RIP Brian Wilson..... he basically wrote a good part of the soundtrack of my life.... amazing talent....
