Good morning, Gris, what's left of it. overcast here, supposed to rain three days, not a drop. Poured on me on the way home yesterday, nothing here where I need it. Of course after 4 months of monsoons I can't believe I'm asking for rain but it's been right at 100 here with none for the last few days. I tried to sleep late too, but ended up not sleeping at all, was still up at 4. I dozed some then got on up. Will be a long day, had stuff planned but might wait till tomorrow. Arron is out in search of bacon, I didn't know to get any when I was out. I'd just as soon have cereal, he's hellbent on the works. Picked up a 1950's chrome waffle iron yesterday, used to have mom's and let it go to a friend that peddled junk at the local hillbilly auction. I saw it for $3 and thought I saw it before. Shop guy said a local lady that collects things is thinning the herd and brought some stuff over, two other items I also got. It almost HAS to be my mom's. We brought it from California when we moved here in 1973, real slim chance anyone else around here would have one. I remember every detail of this thing. Didn't have a cord but I had one that worked, will look for an original. Also picked up a vintage Panasonic cassette player that works perfect.

..it was a big event when Mom pulled out the waffle iron....loved to watch them being made... and when she would flip it over and put the batter on the other side.... damn that's making me hungry..... so's the bacon talk.....

I attended a charity event of a rich man's car collection over in Lincoln today. I have always heard about it but they only open it up on rare occasions.... it was wild.... so many very cool cars of all types.....and the dioramas of old gas stations, car repair facilities, and car dealerships such as the old AOK Chevy used car lots and soda fountains were perfect reproductions.... the building it was all in was done in marble and oak wood.... NO Pictures allowed... I was impressed..... maybe 70 or 80 cars.... very cool...
