Sue gathered a crew to clear out all the overgrown vegetation, trim the trees and get rid of the yard waste. Unfortunately I am unable to undertake such strenuous work at this time and am forced to remain indoors in the air conditioning and listen to the dogs bark at the movement outside. I scheduled the bulk waste pick up with the county. We get 2 25 yard pick ups a year or they can be combined to one pick up. That's what we'll have this year I think. Two truckloads. In the past I have been an active participant in the clean up. maybe later I will contribute by cleaning the weeds out of the garden. Our mango season at home has past, we had a ton of mangoes this year. The avaocado trees have fruit that is nearing its picking stage. The guava tree is dropping fruit now. And the carambola trees are also starting to drop fruit also. The tortoises will be well fed. We freeze mango slices, make guacamole, eat the fresh star fruit (carambola), sometimes refrigerated. I never developed a taste for guava except in pastries that we get from the Cuban bakeries. My oh my, say good-bye to July. Can Christmas not be far away? |

good morning here, was sweltering hot when I tried to go to porch for coffee this morning early. Came right back in. Windows were wet indicating too much humidity for my liking. Tomorrow a cooler front moves in for a break over the weekend. Got a pile of work happening, don't think the guys will ever get caught up.

..an inch of rain last night and it helped bring in cooler temps.... 74 and drizzle right now.... we will take it over yesterday.... still trying to get back to full speed after the vacation.... just want to hang out and not do much....

Hey guys, I had a checkup with my GP today. He was thrilled with my progress after surgery and my health in general.
Not as hot today, but still humid. Sprinkled a little this morning, but meaningful rain possible overnight. |
