FLYINLOW90 Question from non-military guy...

I was curious as to the postion a military guy might take on this.

Do you guys look at labels on items you may be interested in buying and choose not to buy items from certain countries??

I was never in the military and have felt like I missed out on something in my life albeit good or bad I don't know.

Vietnam would have been the war for my generation I guess and I was in the high school district office to sign up for the draft I was told they had discontinued registration for the draft at that time.

Consequently when registering for the draft started again they started with guys born in 1960 and I was born in '58 so I never even registered.

Having said all that When my wife and I shop she does look at labels and the only country I would not let her buy anything imported from was Vietnam. Just my little protest I guess. I have since quit fighting the war I guess and now let the wife buy from wherever.

So what do you military guys say?? Do you guys not buy items from a certain country??

I hope you guys don't think I was being stupid. Just a little way I thought I could support our military and honor all the fallen soldiers.

Thank you all for your service.

Gary

If I am buying something and there is an American made option, I will get it, even if it costs abit more....Now if you are talking about strip clubs, well, that might be another story. : )

I try to stay away from anything made anywhere but the USA. Of course on certain things that is impossible but we do what we can.
