Does anyone know what part # 10007057 on the AC does? I think this is a switch on the back of the compressor. Mine is broken, and I am trying to figure out if I can replace it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. At this point, all that is on the compressor itself is a metal cylindrical part with a little lip. The plastic bit that appear to be part of that metal part is broken off. The other half of the plastic part (that is attached to the wiring harness) is intact. Can I remove that metal part and get a new one?
