Hi guys, I've been pretty busy lately. A week ago I got my 4 post lift delivered and yesterday I got the "high lift" added to my garage door. Today my son-in-law and I added some additional lights and electrical plugs. Next on the agenda is to build some cabinets to replace the the old shelves that we had when we moved in 22 years ago to clean up the area in front of the lift. I'm also going to look at having some aluminum ramps built as the steel ones that came with the lift are heavy and a PITA to move around. I've also got to have some brackets made to hang the wheels for moving the lift around. Still lots to do, but I'm making headway.

Here's the garage after getting the lift installed, but the garage door hasn't been "high lifted" yet.

Now I've got the door fixed here is what it looks like. My son-in-law standing under the vette, lift all the way up.

Here's a shot of all three of my vehicles in the garage.

That area up in front is where I'll be building my cabinets.

Lift looks great. I'm coming to your house to change my oil. Don't be surprised if I knock on the door soon.

If you are in the area please drop by...however nobody is "in the area", on purpose. Nobody wants to come out here, even on purpose, but you are more than welcome.

Hey, if you are in the area, don't hesitate to give me a call, PM me and I'll give you my number. You know what I'm talking about then when I say nobody is out this way by accident. GC is only 21 miles. Did you grow up in this area or do you just have relatives out here?

Everyone else thanks for the nice comments, we are working at it. Matthew, if it's only 924 miles it would make a nice weekend drive, eh?

I grew up in Garden City, HS class of 70. Sported around in a hopped-up dark green white striped 69 Z28 Camaro back then. Went into the navy in 71 and never looked back. Now live in Northern VA and supply high performance diesel engines and gas turbines to the government and take my 94 ZR-1 out only when the weather is nice.

Here are few interesting projects with our engines:

I've not kept up with this thread and I have made some progress with the garage. I got the cabinets built and then they looked too plain jane, so i did a little work on my CAD and a little work with the schools CNC plasma cutter and came up with a few "decorations". What do you guys think?

A C4 emblem

Then I did a late C3 and a C1

Then I made one up on my own and used a 63-64 side emblem as a pattern.

Then I made one up based on the NCM emblem and the nose emblem from a 63-64.

I still have one to go...I have a C5 and a C6 emblem in the works.

They aren't perfect, but I've had a ball making them. They are about 18" across and the CNC plasma cutter we have at school knocks them out. The cabinets themselves are 84" wide 97" tall and 16 3/4" deep. They are made from 3/4" thick melamine, it took 8 sheets to build them.
