The longest I have ever taken was about 30 days. I am about to take 25 days or so this month. I really need this break though. Anyway, lets here it! Whats the longest time you took leave from uncle sam?

Well Johnny, I don't work for Uncle Sam, but I took off this whole month to stay home with the wife and baby! And believe me, I know the feeling about needing the time off!

Not military sine all except AD & TEMAC and ADT time was reserve, but as a LEO, I've taken 180 off....of course it was to play with Uncle Sam's Confused Group
 Just for S & G's I've taken a month before  |

I broke my leg doing PT one morning and got a total of 75 days off and two surgeries!
I do miss those 30 days off a year though! |

One week. Of course I only served 20 Months, (early out) the War was winding down in '72.

30 days RR in Hawaii between tours in 69. Enough time to settle nerves and have at it again.

I was really lucky in 1998 when I got out of the Marine Corps (the first time). I had 60 days saved up and got approved to take 45 days terminal leave.... Sold the rest back.
When I got out (for the final time) in 2007, even thou I had more time on the books, I was told that current policy is max 30 days leave. Will |
