Paul Newman says goodby to Lime Rock

From the link in thread:
Quote:
"LimeRock was closed down today Wednesday [Aug 20] or an hour and a half so Paul Newman could take a few last laps there in his GT1 Corvette and say goodbye. He was diagnosed with cancer 18 months ago and is not expected to make it past September."

I saw his race his GT1 car at Lime Rock.
He's a great driver, and I will miss seeing him run.

I didn't know Paul Newman was dying. That sucks. What a racer and a pretty damn good human being too.

If I had another month to live, I'd stay in the race car!

That's very sad - I had heard rumors about his illness. Nice that he's getting a chance to do some things he wants to. Class act.

A great life. An ugly way to go.

So sad.
