Please reply with your timeslips below! All generation Corvettes
are welcome.

List your performance mods, gearing, transmission, 1/4 and 1/8th ET,
and density altitude during the run, or at least air temperature if you can.
Without this information, your times are useless to the rest of us.

If you are already on the list, and have improved on your time, post it
and tell us about your new modifications!

1991 Corvette, 6 speed:

Cut air lid, long tubes, no emissions stuff, no AIR pump, no cats, Dr. Gas X pipe, magnaflow mufflers, 1.6 roller rockers, 4.10 gears, custom dyno tune, McLeod twin disk clutch, and ET streets:

1.7943 - 60
8.2170 @ 84.97
12.8481 @ 106.23

Track is 121 feet above sea level, air temp was approximately 80 degrees, approximately 20% humidity. DA was probably less than 500 feet.

Same day, same mods, only with a 75 shot of nitrous. Sprayed from moment one all the way down the track:

1.747 - 60
7.696 @ 93.60
11.992 @ 112.42

Car now has a converted LT1 intake, trick flow heads, and a cam. Hoping for new best times soon.

Ok,my best so far: 1/8th mile.

8.649, 86.4 mph. Stock 95 coupe, A4, 3.07 rear, air temp was 85*F. No 60 ft as the track had a problem that day.

New member to this forum, but will add my time as well.

Time slip is from early spring, and temp in the low 70s.

9.34 @ 152.7, 1.82 60'. I have slightly better 60' times with this combo (some in the 1.7s), and a few with a couple more MPH (crappy 60' and spinning adds speed), but this slip I view as the best overall.

'87, 408cid (4" stroke, 350 block), AFR215s, 248/254 @ 0.050 SR 0.670+" cam, SP intake, MB, D1R, FAST sequential, ZF, 3.45D44

I still have yet to make use of the full 25+ psi boost. The above runs were made with max boost at 20 psi in 3rd and 4th.

I think I may have a few 1/8th mile timeslips slower than that...

I did just a little better yesterday with the new BFG DRs on the back and the Meziere WP on the front. Best was a 8.62 with a 1.99 60ft, and 85.5mph. I backed that up with another run of 8.65 a few minutes later. Weather was good, just a tad warmer than the predicted hi of 71*F. Using the X1.55 formula that would be a 13.36 1/4 mile. I am pleased with all of that, but think that the car still has more in it, I just need to get better at getting everything out of it.

Atco / Englishtown style weather invaded Beech Bend Dragway in Bowling Green Saturday Nov.8th to help me set some new personal best times with my 08 A6 2.56 gear car.

The temps were in the low 50's with bright sunshine and a slight head wind. Beech Bend did a great job with track prep and traction was the best I have seen there, at least for me....

I along with 3 other Corvette buddies ran our personal best times. My 08 A6 is completely stock. I slightly increased the air pressure in the fronts to 33 lbs and reduced the rears to 28.5 lbs...

Before the 1st run I let the car set about 1.5 hours to cool off as much as possible after the 110 mile trip to the track....Engine temp was about 130 when I started the car and headed to the water box.

The runs....With the help of my son I drove around the water box and then backed into the very front edge of the dampness. I then did a very short burnout with just a slight wisp of tire smoke. I then did a test launch behind the line before I staged. I staged as shallow as possible.

I had all the nannies turned off, the trans in sport mode and did not powerbreak at all. I did not use the paddles.....At the green I mashed the pedal to the floor and only felt slight tire slip. The 60ft was 1.923, the best this car has ever hooked up. This was also the 1st time I have tried a burnout. I would say slightly heating the tires helped.

The 1/8 mile time was amazing to me 7.92 @ 91.19 The 1/4 returned an 12.17 @ 116.80.

The second run was made 15 minutes after the 1st. the engine temps had jumped up to 190. I only turned the traction control off on this run. There was slightly more tire spin on this run with a 1.949 60 ft.
the rest of the run was...1/8 = 7.97@ 91.02 1/4 = 12.23 @ 115.38

For the 3rd run I let the car set for just over an hour to get the eng. temps back down. I repeated the events of the 1st run hoping to get back into the teens. It came close running 12.203 @ 116.22. The 60ft was 1.933 and the 1/8 was 7.94@ 91.16

It was a great day for me and I can't get over how amazing these LS3 cars are. That 12.17 makes this car a full second faster than my 01 6mn car and 7 mph faster..An added note the 220 mile round trip with the runs returned 28mpg's.....

Car #3 left lane on both slips...

Thanks Matt, If you need a 1/4 mile time slip to compare your times to... Car #5 on the second time slip I posted above is an mostly stock 95 Corvette cp A4 with the 3.07 gears with only Corsa's... Here's a shot of that car...

PettVette, you might want to work on your reaction times. On the first slip it is slow, on the second slip it looks like you pulled a red light. Overall very nice runs and the reaction times improve with practice.

ps--thanks for the info on the 95, looks good for a stock '95.

YES! A new best for me today on the local 1/8th mile track. It was cold last night, so traction was a problem. On the other hand the cooler air today (50*F) helped with the power. I got into the 8.5s, not by much, but at least I got there. 8.59 and 86.37 mph, their printer messed up on the 60' so I am not sure where that was, likely a 1.9 as that was about my normal today. Altogether it was a good day.

CC--please update my times, thanks. And thanks for the advise in the past.

My best et, had the following:

1.51 60 ft
7.19 1/8th et
94.xx mph
11.32 et
119.xx mph

Best 60 ft was 1.48
Best mph was 119.8
Best et is above

This is a 85 corvette, 383, 10-1 cr, 58 mm TB, Superram, AFR 190's, 219/219 hyd roller cam, 1 3/4" headers, thru 3" dual exhaust, Flowtech warlock mufflers, 3.45 gears, PI 3000 rpm Vig converter. 3300 lb raceweight. Was done in a 2500+ ft DA, on a 900 ft actual elevation track in 75 degree weather.

Motor in above combination never saw good air, would have loved to run it just once in the icey stuff.

Much better to come with new motor.....

PettVette....nice run!!! I also ran a 12.17 @ 117.24...well, it was a 12.179, but it was still fast!!! Nothing done to my 08 either. Only thing I did was lower the rear pressures to 25psi and opened up the NPP exhaust.

Wow old thread. My 89 was second to last lol.

On the new ride dont know...should be in the 11s somewhere well see about that one. Sure first couple shakedown runs may be in the 12s somewhere til I learn how to drive it.

Zr1 was in the 13s, crappy 2.2 60 ft street tires. Kevins 85 would almost beat it as he could laumch on DRs pretty good lol.

OK, as a new guy, I'll do my first post here...

I recently did my best with my '65 Vert when testing for a try at the NCCC 2B class record. At Gateway International in St Louis, I did a 11.457 at 117.42 with a density altitude of 1191'. A few days later, I ran a best of 11.474 at 117.50 at Thunder Valley in Noble Oklahoma at a density altitude of 2377', which was still better when corrected for altitude to an 11.34 (new record). (Click Time Slips.pdf for these times)

Consistent with the class rules, this was with unported, but blueprinted, 461 heads and 2.02/1.60 valves, an unported LT1 intake, a Holley 750 carb, 30-30 equivalent Duntov cam (max lift .455/.455) running in a 350 (.060 over) with stock LT1 pistons. Trans was a TH350 with a high stall converter connecting to 4.11 gears. Tires were MT Street ETs 235-60-R15. Race weight was 3211 lb.

It's a fun ride - all naturally aspirated!
Cheers!
