my team sucked.

I really can't say I am amused by the software yahoo uses. I kept forgetting to set my team on a Friday...

At the same time, the 9 race rule thing is really wacky.

TTT

Last race coming up.

Seems like it was just February. We have all learned a thing or two on how the rules work and need to figure out how to keep "half season sand baggers" from making good.

Like maybe two halfs and the whole for prizes?

Anyone care to ante up for next year?

Heck, I haven't even figured out what the rules were for the first half.

But yeah, I missed two weeks and that killed me, so I sandbagged the last couple weeks of the first half and saved Kyle Busch for the chase. Whoops.

Next year for Nascar AND Football will be much better! Plus, hoping to have some prize packs that will encourage others to join and play faithfully.

Hopefully, we can do it without any money from the competitors.

Ya know a twenty widget down stake is pretty minimal these days. with enough competitors, the game can get real interesting. Yet how can guys that get behind by a 300 points be inspired to stay in the play? Maybe Guru window stickers for not DNF'ing?

I agree. I run a football playoff pool at work, $20 buy-in, winner take all, last year the pot was over $400.

That's the whole problem....people joining and then getting discouraged by their performance and not staying in the game.

If the top prize is something to really shoot for, maybe we could get more motivated. I can't imagine a 20 team Football league! That would be fun!

I guess the problem with $20 is that its like pulling teeth to get it(and I was one of the offenders). Maybe next time, you get the password in, once your money is received.

Put more money on the whole season winner and toss in some booby prizes for the half winners. That way nobody will try too hard to win either half, or maybe just start the season over halfway through, 10 months is too damn long.

Maybe we need a chase system, lol. Hard to catch up once you get behind in this. I like the playoff system the yahoo football uses, other than it happening when some teams are clinched and playing 3rd stringers.

I was in a league that gave a prize to the last place finisher - as long as they worked it all season long.

That's worth considering.
