I'm going to try and run this event.
The president of my club just signed up.

I haven't run it since they reconfigured the track.
Actually, I haven't run it since 2000.

I've got the seals for my engine, all of $40.

I was going to go ahead and put the blower and heads on, but I really need to redo the shortblock for it.

I going to see if I can get the seals done, if the weather cooperates.

Don't be surpsrised if Ian runs the "classic" configuration. That's what he did when I was there a few weeks ago.

I can say however that the new pavement is phenominal. I carried speed like never before and was getting great grip through Big Bend. Right up until the last session of the day when I spun @ the exit of Big Bend and went into the tire wall on the right.

They've also softened the transition @ the bottom of the downhill onto the front straight. I picked up about 5 mph there.

The good news is that I'm going to be in CT that week on a new contract.

The bad news is that I won't be able to make the event.

Gee, I kind of liked the old rough surface, it really separated the rock stars from the groupies. Since I am very fortunate to have a first class suspension, the rough surface gave me a competitive advantage. Any type of shocks will work on a billiard table! Now if they can actually make a decent bathroom facility....

I haven't been to Lime Rock yet. It's on the list.

but as for bathrooms, it took Sebring until about 3 years ago to get good bathrooms. The old bathroom in the paddock was built over some old road... it had a speed bump in it. I would rather now know why.

I saw the track on tv Saturday, it looks really good (even with the disgusting 4 door Volkswagons on it).

In other news Brian, they repaved part of Streets of Willow last year, from after turn 2 all the leading up to the bowl turn.

I should give it another shot.
