In an average NCAA football season, somewhere close to 1000 games are played..... adding a 8 team playoff would do the following.... drumroll...... "Add 3 games to the Schedule"..... thats it !! After the bowl games, there would be two semifinal games and then a single NCAA College Football Superbowl..... that could be played on the same weekend as the Superbowl, except on Saturday. We could just officially call this a "MAN" holiday.......

Its just too easy and makes too much sense from my perspective... in addition, you don't have to hurt your current BCS games, utilize them for the 1st round of the playoffs, thus the sponsorship stays and actually adds on.....because I'm fairly certain a number of them would latch on to the semifinal games and final....And btw, we don't have to junk the BCS computer, we keep it.... it decides the 8 teams. Yes, you'll have that 9th and 10th team left out crying on the side of the road, but they undoubtly had a loss and had no real right to complain too loudly.

btw, if the season was over today and we had a 8 team playoff, here are the 1st round games.

# 1 Alabama vs # 8 Penn St (Wow.... great game !)

# 2 Texas vs # 7 Texas Tech (Wow !!! The rematch of what was one of the best games of the year...)

# 3 Oklahoma vs # 6 Utah (Great game..... visions of Oklahoma getting upset on the statue of liberty play come back to my mind)

# 4 Florida vs # 5 USC (Game of the year right here.... no kidding, and this is the game everybody wants in the south and the game they want on the west coast..... this would be huge.... and the winner would be my personal favorite to win it all !!)


Am I alone in this wish ??..... which is all it is. Probably never happen in my lifetime. oh well.

So who's against it? Sounds like more money for everyone involved, except for the beer drinking, pickeled egg buying, commercial watching fans.
