Hello,

I just purchased a bottle of Optimum No Rinse. I have been very skeptical of this product since i learned of it, but faced with sub-freezing temperatures I don't have many choices in the way of cleaning my cars. I try to hold off with the swirl-o-matic's as long as possible... it usually doesn't snow this bad this early here in NY. So supposedly this stuff when mixed with 3 gallons of water is supposedly going to enable me to be able to dry wash my car. To me it seems like a super quick detailer. Dunk a grout sponge in this stuff, wipe a section of the car down, and wipe the damp section of the car with a microfiber and your done. No Swirls induced (supposedly) no hassle. We'll see I guess.... There are reviews leading in both directions (good and bad) with this product. And its a green product which makes me wonder how effective its really going to be. (I don't care for the "green" movement) If anybody has tried this stuff,... feel free to post results, advice, and so on....

Ill probably post my results after I get it and give it a try.

Let us know because if it works I'd like to try it in the garage since the roads are crap now.

I would hope they suggest thet the grout sponge hasn't been used for grout before.
Obviously, lighter pressure on the sponge would keep the swirls down. The main goal is to get the dirt particals in solution and get them off without rubbing them into the paint which is why you hose off this in the summer.

Seems to me that any product that will get the dirt into solution will do the same thing. Soap, detailer, whatever.
I done mine before, inside, with 3 buckets. Water, Soapy water, rinse water (with a sopping wet towel). It gets some water on the floor but it'll dry.

The only time I use quick detailer is on a car that's already clean.

Hope this stuff worls for you, it will be interesting to get your impressions.

I can however comment on the smell. Smells like Pine Oil.. Most people complain about it but i kinda like it,

I have some Griot's waterless stuff that came with a bunch of microfiber towels - I only got a chance to try it out on the windshield last summer. Seemed to work well.

I washed the C4 yesterday. It was 40 degrees. Had to stand in some snow to do one side. It took 15 minutes and I pulled it back into the garage to dry it.
