Took my 20 hours total, with headers, air tools and on jack stands going along cautiously. Its kind of a PIA, but not extremely terrible. If anyone is thinking of doing this job, lemme know if I can give any pointers.

Notice any difference?

I remember you mentioning a little bog on the 3-4 upshift. But I read that while the lower gears had different ratios than the standard coupe, the Z06 used the same 4th gear. (5&6 too, I would assume)

Feel free to call me if you ever need a tool runner while you're doing that stuff. I'd love to learn from the master!

4th is the same 1:1, but the M12 box had a different 5th and 6th gear as well.

Swapping out the clutch on the C5/C6 is a crappy job. Just a lot of work to remove all the pieces to get at it.

Hope you installed a remote bleeder John.

Absolutely! Also did the rear axle seals and torque tube bushings too! It was also a good opportunity to clean everything up under there.

Chris, youre always welcome to come over. Just call me!!

Well, I have a bad habit of cursing, but while trying to get that POS outta there I think I made up some new ones!! I used a huge pair of channel locks on the back of my snap ring pliers to get enough squeeze on them while my wife fit a screwdriver behind the snap ring. In short, it sucked big time!

Sorry to bring back an older thread. Going to be doing a 03 ZO6 clutch on Saturday, and tips and tricks (pics too) would be great.
I will be using a lift, air tools etc. Putting an LS-7 clutch, flywheel, pressure plate etc etc.

Boy this is going to be no fun whatsoever. The kid we are helping bought this car, and its his first stick shift, first corvette, and drove it with the clutch to the floor for some time. We should start charging people for assisting them here in Oahu.

He did ask to be involved in the whole process. Little Jedi will be, trust me.
