it's slow as hell, ain't it?

The last I heard from Bruthish on this subject was that the hosting company was going to move us to a dedicated server.

However, the underlying problem is that the software is a system hog... it makes 170 SQL calls just to post one thread.

Yep...the program is the suck. Phpbb that DM runs is not near the same...so its either a dedicated server or I lose the program and just use the stand-alone phpbb. Dedicated servers cost $$$$ which we don't have at the moment. So I don't want to be stuck with a large bill and the site dies or something. Last I checked with the host, they advised they had equipment failure that runs the SQL database, since they replaced it, its run " alittle" faster but not really much. I will inquire again.
