I am honored to have found this group and have decided to peruse and preen the feathers of joy, comfort and wisdom associated with Corvettes and the great pilots that fly them upon the flowing ribbons of asphalt across this great USA. And yes, I am the one with the 1996 Torch Red Collector Edition.

I just wanted to say that I'm the winner of the 2011 Corvette Gran Sport and the roads where I live will be perfect for my new car. Trae 1976 has some not so nice things to say about the town I'm from. There are more than tractors and farm trucks where I live. He can eat my dust at any traffic light and try to keep up with my Corvette. Thank you to General Motors for this Great American Car. Also, Thank you Tommy T-Bone for posting my name on his forum.

TO: Bogus,
Not sure what transmission it has yet.I should pick it up in the next few weeks. Which one is preferable? I never owned a car like this. This is the only thing I've ever won.

Wow... this will be a real culture clash, then!

I would go to a dealer and test both.

The manual is a sweetheart, tho... and it is a sports car, the manual just fits better. A lot is determined by you... do you have good knees? Perhaps a bad wrist? Something like that could make a manual undrivable.

I have won some little things, and I know how giddie I get for a few hours after; but something like this, I doubt I would ever come down!

TO: 95vette,
I'm responsible for the sales tax when I pick up the Corvette at the dealer. Also, on April 15th of 2011 I will have to pay the income tax on the value of the Corvette. This will be a lot cheaper than buying one at the dealer for $58,000.00 . In 2012 I will have to pay the income tax on the trip to Le Mans, France. Not too bad for someone that would have never been able to afford a new Corvette and such a nice trip. Thanks for reminding me of my future financial obligations!

TO: TommyT-Bone and Bogus,
Thanks to both of you for the input on the transmissions. The manual would make it more like a sports car. The automatic would be better if my if I broke my left leg and my right arm. I will let you know which one I get in the next few weeks. I'll upload a picture and give some details of the options. I like the Supersonic Blue Metallic color with the Removable Transparent Roof. It's like the picture I posted earlier. I was told I get to choose my color and the options. I should know something soon.

Hello goofy! What a nice Corvette you have acquired. I'd like to find a old 65 rag top that's been sitting around. As for parts, what kind of parts are you needing? There are several vendors around.
