CSS996 I know nothing about injectors...

I do plan to purchase a matched set, along with some other items to do a general tune up soon.

What do you recommend for a stock '93?

I don't plan to do internal mods, but maybe muffler elims, or different exhaust altogether. What if I end up wanting to do headers down the road? If the engine had to come apart, I would replace worn parts with higher performance parts that would not effect reliability.

Is there an injector that can span LT1-LT4 specs? Does that question even make sense?

Can a different from OEM injector improve performance reliably without other mods?

In my case, I am wanting to maintain the highest level of reliability over HP gains, but more power would be a welcome side effect.

Hopefully my disjointed questions make sense. I look forward to placing an order in the next few weeks.

just don't do elims. The resonance is killer. Save the coin and get Corsa's. You will thank me later. Better yet, DO install elims... hate them as I did then get Corsa's.

otherwise, I leave this to Rich to answer.

I totally disagree. I have been running elims for over 3 yrs and think they are great.

Good set of questions! Injectors are a mystery for most people, strange little things that a lot of people don't understand heh.

To break it down. A larger injector by itself will not give you more HP. The only time a larger injector is needed is when you are making more power and require more fuel than your current injector will take. I.E Heads, Cam, Cubes, F/I, ETC.

Also, when going to larger injectors, you will need to have the car tuned for them.

Mods like exhaust and headers will not require going up in injector size.

That said, better injectors can give a performance increase in some cases. If the spray pattern and atomization of your current injectors isn't that good, a good injector will give you a more complete burn of the fuel, giving better throttle response, and gas mileage.

For you, I would recommend Bosch Design III's in the stock 24lb size. These will give you a perfect spray pattern and perfect atomization of the fuel, as well as being reliable as all get out.

I can do the set of 8, flow matched, viton o-rings installed, and a 3 year no questions warranty for $189 for the set of 8.

Elims are the way to go!

Elims SUCK.

The boom inside the cabin about killed me... I have sensative hearing, and I know I lost some tonal response because of it.

When the outside reading was 94.3 dB, WITH RESONATORS, something had to give... in this case, Corsa... I don't regret that one bit.

Never did install mine. Still in the box, unopened. And now the car is gone.

I bought a set a couple of weeks ago and installed them. The Vette purrs now! Instead of elims, I hollowed the main cat and went with Ansa performance mufflers
