Question #5:

John Z Delorean. A name that echoes in car geekness. His contribution to the Corvette was both in keeping it alive during the dreary 1970s, but also refining the car and making it more comfortable and user friendly. His post GM record is well known... the time machine and a coke deal gone wrong...

What significant GM product did John Z usher into production?

a. Olds 442
b. Cadillac Fleetwood
c. Pontiac GTO
d. Chevy Corvair

Remember, quote me!

We have a first time scorer tonight!

Way to go Teebee!

John Z did his fair share of wrangling to get past all the ignorant rules at GM... such as intermediate cars not having really big engines... He got past it by making the GTO an option package.

Question #8:

Bill Mitchell was so infatuated with the look of the Mako Shark that he used it as inspriation for the design of the third generation Corvette.

The design studios did a couple of prototype Mako Shark Corvettes, both with striking blue to white paint scheme, matching perfectly the colours of the shark.

How did they match those colours so perfectly?

a. Extracted pigment from a real shark
b. Painted Bill's stuffed shark to match
c. Had the paint department mix custom colours
d. Used stock dark blue and added white to get the blend right

Remember, quote me!
