Last summer I had a backfire on deceleration and an oil can popping sound, both seemed like it was coming from the right bank. No codes so I changed spark plugs, and O2 sensors. I continued to have the problem but had to put it up for the winter. Now I am getting ready to put it back on the road. I plan on new spark plug wires and better spark plugs (Currently Bosch). I plan on using GM parts unless my research tells me different. Any suggestions on making the plug wire change goes easier?
Any other suggestions will also be greatly appreciated.

for plugs, I would go with NGK Iridium.

Wires, either MSD or Taylor.

The early LT1 can pop... but I would go with a tune-up, simply put, the Bosch plugs SUCK in the LT1. They just don't work...
