A guy at work, who races a truck and instructs @ the Glen, is really astonished as to how badly he's driving.

More than a can width from all the apexes around the track.

Hunting for the apex in others.

Describes the accident as "only a matter of time"

Was this his 1st time on the track?

A can width? Sounds pretty good to me. I'm usually a bucket-width off every apex.

High powered car, inexperienced driver, I've seen it many times.

The guy should have gotten a bunch of seat time in a more forgiving car, learned the lines, learned how to threshold brake.

A car set up like this one is not for the inexperenced, they're twitchy, th control inputs are much smaller and need to be precise. Slicks are way less forgiving than R-comps, etc.

Probably one of those guys who says "I don't need an instructor".

People like scare the shit out of me on a racetrack. I've had my car busted up twice by guys like this.

He probably also has newbie tunnelvision, doesn't have a clue if there's another car beside him or behind him.

Yes, and on Monday after the wreck, he was lookin for another ZR1 to replace this one.

He wasn't hurt but he's still an idiot.
