Not for the vette, this is for my silverado, but its gonna equate the same.

I've been working on the interior of my truck for 2 days, I'm working on the floor mats now and need some help.

Theyre the hard rubber mats, and they're stained to shit.

I've scrubbed with dish soap (got the loose stuff, not the stains)

I've scrubbed with the most potent degreaser in my arsenal (Cherry Bomb from Flash) (while its now disolving my hands, it lightened the stains, still horribly stained tho)

Then I tried bleach, had no effect at all.

Aside from grabbing my sprayer that's loaded with acidic coil cleaner for A/C, I have no idea wtf to try next.

My opinion, they are rubber mats. Just clean them the best you can. If they are that abused, just buy another set.

Well I didn't have any brake cleaner..

BUT, when I was in the garage I found a can of this stuff called "Goof Off"

Figured wtf, I'll try it.

Worked almost INSTANTLY. Amazing crap.

Smells like carb cleaner, comes in a metal can ala-seafoam

Suggestion.... Pants and elbow gloves...

I have some SWEET chemical burns to show for my hard work..

Oh yeah, and clean mats.

I would buy a new set, but these are the custom fit ones from GM, doubt they're still made, and if they are, I REALLY don't want to pay GM prices for them haha.

I like soaking stuff in simple green. The citrus cleaners work pretty well, too.

Yep, Goof Off is always on my shelf, F'd up last month and hammered apaint can shut near the C4, got a blob of laytex on it that dried, Goof took it off.

Lloyds makes custom fit excellent mats for th Silverado, $59 and up at Summit.

Also, I get parts for my Silverado at www.lmctruck.com, free catalog.
