The Big Ten announced the two divisions for the Big 10 (12) that will start in 2011. Since Nebraska came on board things had to change. The Huskers first season will include games with Wisconsin, Ohio State, Minnesota, Michigan State, Northwestern, Penn State, Michigan and over Thanksgiving we will play Iowa. We are not in Kansas anymore Dorthy! Holy cow! It's either the road to distruction or the path to a National Championship.

We take our Huskers seriously out here, what else is there except the price of corn. This is a big deal, the coffee shops are buzzing and the farmers are buzzing anticipating a big crop, and Husker football. It's the Good Life here in flyover country.

We do have some unfinished business. Texas who we beat in the Big 12 title game (until they added a second on the clock) Will be in our house on Oct. 16. It's a Red out game and tickets are already going for as high as $2500. My wife says for that much she would sell ours........... Naaaa!

If they reach $5k, I would sell...

I think they can take Texas. Bo has done a killer job turning that program around.

It will be odd when they join the Big 10+2. If bowl games are any indication, they own the Big 10.

I think they should play Little Sisters of the Poor instead of MN Goofers - nobody would know the difference.

I'm glad the Big 10 added the Cornhuskers. In order for the Big 10 to become competitive again and regain the "glory days" they had to do this. Nebraska has always been tough and brings to the table a refreshing aggressive passing game that we are lacking in the Big Ten. As a Purdue grad I was getting a litttle burned out at the same defense and offensive strategies. Nebraska,Texas,Oklahama excellent outside running...opps this doesn't sound very feminine does it! I was a cheerleader once and prom queen. Erin

Atta girl! It is going to be wild to see Ohio State in our house and Michigan also. Is Purdue in the Big 10? I think I have heard of them.

Being a Big Ten fan...I was glad to see Nebraska come to the Big Ten instead of Notre Dame. Even though I am from Ohio...I am and always will be a Michigan fan. zoe6...I couldn't have said it better myself. Gotta like a girl who loves football and corvettes....

I suspect the Huskers will have a really good 2010 season, with a BCS bowl a very good possibility. I'm impressed with the progress Coach Pelini is making, and fully expect them to beat Texas this year. Yeh, they're getting thrown in the deep end for 2011, but I think they'll do fine.

Down here, our expectations aren't nearly as high. Regardless, come tomorrow, and many other Saturdays this fall, I'll be right here:

The Volunteers are going through what the Huskers did a few years back. It was to bad Kiffen left when things were starting to turn around. Although I think he is overated. We will see how he does out in LA LA land. There is nothing fancy about Pellini but Bo knows football! Plus he is from Ohio and played in the Big 10. Good Luck to your Vols Trae!

Of course, in hindsight, the consensus is we're definitely better off without him. We just hope he didn't leave too many skeletons in our closet.

And its nice to have SEC blood running our program again.

Did anyone see the Huskers last night? They had K-State for lunch.

The holes they opened up for Martinez were nothing short of truck sized. And his speed... OMG... the speed...
