Would it be to my advantage to upgrade my fans? I've had a set of fans from an LS f-body for a long while now. Painless makes a harness for powering them. While it's certainly not an exact fit, making a shroud is do-able, but is it worthwhile?

You'd be better off reprogramming the fans with a tune if you want to see lower temps.

Or if you prefer, my 89 has the lower temp switch in the DS head to turn the aux fan on sooner (mine is at 205).

On my 89 I got tired of driving in So. Cal traffic watching my gauge. I replaced the stupid little beannie propeller in front of the condenser with a 14" black max pusher fan and wired it to a switch. That over rides the fans when I am in traffic and I leave them on until I am clear and moving.
Bring the temp down to 190 while sitting.

Thanks for the new input. I'd thought about it as another option but I hadn't done anything yet.
