TWO AND A HALF INCHES IN THE RAIN GAUGE AND STILL DRIPPING. HAVE NOT SEEN ANY SIGN OF EXCESSIVE RUN-OFF SO IT MUST HAVE SOAKED IN WELL. IT WAS SORELY NEEDED AROUND GRISHEIM.

THE COUNTRY CLUB REPUBLICANS HAVE MADE IT PRETTY CLEAR THAT THEIR MAIN CONCERN RE OBAMACARE IS TO PROTECT INSURANCE COMPANY PROFITS.
MORE EVIDENCE THAT GEORGE WALLACE WAS CORRECT.

IT'S LOOKING LIKE A TWO NAP DAY, UNLESS I DECIDE TO DO SOME CLEANUP IN THE BARN.

freaking tornadoes.......hope all survive...... nasty sumbitches.......

Had a real reasonable sleep in this morning......Brad worthy I would say....wet and drippy here also but thankfully no tornadoes......

Drove the GS into church last night and afterwards went to the Penera Bread store for soup and a samwich...... a bright red 911 Carrera pulled in along side me and we chatted for a bit...... he had a european accent and said he loves all cars...... when we were done I was glad I was driving my GS and he was no doubt glad he was driving his Porcha..........

Ivelis and I always tell folks that we love many different kinds of cars—we just choose to spend our money on Corvettes. Nothing wrong with a nice 911.

In contrast to some other Gurus, this weekend's weather has been absolutely glorious for August in the Philadelphia area.

Or two. I agree They (Corvettes and Porsches) are two different beasts and I love them both for what each is. Even the 83 and 87 911 handle differently. The 911s feels a lot more agile but tempermental with the engine weight in the rear. The heavy front end on the Corvette can push into corner. Both versions seem very happy at speeds over 100 on the straights.

Popi, Sue's stepdad, turned 76 today. Her mom will soon be 80. We celebrated with a delicious brunch at Mom & Pops house. A mixed vegetable and egg dish, salmon, lox, bagels, all the fixings, cheese cake, delicious fruit topped birthday cake made with whipped cream, rugelach, coffee and a couple of things I'm forgetting. I ate my fill.
