OVERCAST AND COLD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, THE PROMISED SUNSHINE IS YET TO BE SEEN. THE CHEROKEES ARE GETTING PISSED.

AT LEAST IT'S NOT RAINING. EVERYTHING IS SO SATURATED THE GROUND GOES "SQUISH" WHEN YOU WALK. I KEEP REMINDING MYSELF IT WAS REALLY NEEDED---

SEEMS WE WILL BE GOING TO OKMULGEE FOR EASTER, ALL THE OKIE KIDS AND GRANDKIDS WILL BE THERE. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT.

NOTHING ON TODAY'S AGENDA BUT A FEW ERRANDS TO GET ME OUT OF THE HOUSE.

HAD SUPPER LAST NIGHT WITH SOME FRIENDS; THEY ARE IN THEIR 80'S AND SHE IS SLIPPING INTO ALZHEIMER'S. SO SAD TO SEE A VIVACIOUS, PERSONABLE WOMAN FADING AWAY. HER HUSBAND IS SHOWING THE STRAIN OF CARING FOR HER. IN A WAY, IT'S WORSE FOR HIM THAN HER.
LIFE CAN BE HARSH.

Morning guys....Had Holy Thursday services last night , then Holy hour....our stint was 11-12, so we didn't get to bed very early, so slept in and extra hour this morning. Good Friday services at noon, so not going to get very carried away with trying to get a lot done this morning. I am assigned to read the passion and minister during the service today.

Been working on the church's "self-inspection" for our insurance provider. I want to to check it off and send it in, but if I do, it will probably look like I did just that, so I found a few things that need 'attention'. They have included, this year a bunch of 'guidelines' in case of active shooter in the church.....yea, most are impossible to try and implement and the one that makes most sense (allowing concealed carry for some members) they won't allow. They want us to hire 'professional' security people, who are 'trained' in use of firearms....BS!

it's a cold start (for Late March) this morning, but it supposed to warm into the mid 60s. I wish we could have some of that rain Gris is talking about, the rain they promised yesterday ended up as an 8" rain....a drop here, on the sidewalk and 8" over another drop.....didn't even make the sidewalk damp.

I love that movie...roger, Roger. Vectors, Victor. Clearance Clarence.

Speaking of inspections, yesterday a worker's compensation auditor was doing an audit at my wife's office (my wife does the HR stuff for her company). The gal was nice, and attractive, but apparently had bathed in perfume. One of my wife's co-workers is particularly sensitive to that, so at first she stuffed kleenex up her nose, and was later wearing a mask. LMAO!

Tomorrow it will be a balmy 28 degrees and windy, and by the time the Twinkies open up at home next week, the temps will have worked their way up to a blistering 37 degrees. I want spring, and I want it now.

LOL---BRINGS BACK MEMORIES, THAT'S HOW MY DAD USED TO SELL FINISHED ROAD JOBS TO THE STATE: LEAVE A FEW OBVIOUS, EASILY CORRECTED THINGS FOR THE INSPECTORS TO FIND. WORKED FOR ME IN THE ARMY ALSO :-)

The chances of an armed church incident are remote. Christians and non Christians alike should embrace the will of God in these matters.

I really wish I could retire-retire but the lure of easy money has a very strong appeal. I don't want to work . I just want to bang on the drum all day. But things being as they are a man gotta do what a man gotta do whether he wants to or not.

Chilly here, but sunny. Not too bad. I don't think the prospect for the weekend is to positive weather wise. Oh well. Maybe that means I'll have more time to work in the garage.

Marcus, how did it go spreading your seed yesterday?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Fine Matt.....we are delivering bags of seed corn to farmers so they can plant if this weather ever warms up. I see they are calling for a cool wet week next week so that's not going to work...... so much for global warming..... I read the other day they are now saying we are going into a mini ice age.....

there is much more money in global warming so no one talks about an ice age........ its true........I know things.......ask Gris....he will tell you.......

Good Friday service was good, and a pretty good turnout for a noon service. This afternoon I worked in the shop on the cabinets. A little time tomorrow and I'll be ready to apply the finish. Sheetrock guy is haging the rock tomorrow, and maybe applying the first coat of mud. I may try to get over there with the electrician and do a little of the electrical work.

Oh, the temps moderated some this afternoon, but the wind blew so hard, you really didn't want to get out in it. Still dryer than a popcorn fart.
