A true story: my grandfather saw the Titanic. He told everyone it was going to sink. No one believed him. He yelled it out 3 more times until finally, he was kicked out of the cinema.

Just over 4 weeks till we cruise and I'll be busy all the way up to departure day. I see a trend here. Now you know why I love cruising. DNBFS Here's another. The first cruise was a freebee and the taxes and insurance came to $469 The player's club comped us $300 for Sue and $200 for me in casino cash which means we're cruising with $31 left over. In December the cruise cost us $1539 for the cruise, taxes, port charges and insurance. The players club gave Sue $1000 and me $500 casino cash meaning that cruise cost us $39. What's not to like since we like to and would gamble anyway. We are going out of Fort Lauderdale in October, a 1 hour drive and Port Canaveral in Dec. That's a 4 hour drive. All our friends and relatives know we love cruising. Pack and unload once. See multiple ports. All meals and entertainment for the most part are free. And we have a casino just a few floors away. We use our cabin mainly for sleeping and showering and I sneak in a few timely naps. That's why interior cabins make little difference to us. We don't spend all our time there. Another thing is it gives me something to strive for as I wait for the next cruise date. ;)

Hidey-ho! Semi-sunny, but it will be an unseasonable 84 - I'll take it. I have to make a pilgrimage to the office later to pickup a new laptop, so I think I'll dust off the Vette.

Tommy, I can just imagine you on that water slide ;-)

Meanwhile:

Nice here.....cool but sunny..... the oldies are playing on the radio in the shop like they have for the last 30 years..... kinda breezy but that will dry the grain down so it will be ready to harvest sooner.

Going to be driving truck tomorrow.... not much else going on.... doing some little stuff to the Fiddysix..... put in new seat clamps for the back seat to latch to. It was squeaking going down the road.... looked like the originals were on there. Got some new ones from Danchuks..... chrome of course...... no squeaky now......

more later from the center of the country.....

I have been on a pair of them in the recent past. Adults do go on them you know. ;) Been zip lining too. Twice in the past year. Do what I can while I can. It's not slated to get any easier.

I SEE WHERE THE WASHINGTON POST IS SAYING THE PRESIDENT CAUSED HURRICANE FLORENCE.

Hey guys...I started early, because I had a lot to do before noon. Then even more this afternoon. I got almost everything done I had planned this morning...plus a couple things. This afternoon, I picked up my neighbor and our preist and headed over to the next town over to install a garage door opener at the parish house over there...but when we get there, I find out we had two to install....I must have misunderstood what father told me. The one door had had an opener on it, so it was a little easier...The other door didn't, no electrical plug close, so had to run electrical over there, add a box and do all that and they thought they needed a plug in on the north wall, while I was at it....so I did. Took five hours to complete the deal...father jumped right in and lent (no pun intended) a hand. It was hot and windy, I was soaked with sweat by the time we were done.

Warm again tomorrow, into the low 90s.

Good Evening CGs!

It was hot here again today. Goofy weather.

I actually got to drive the Corvette this morning to run an errand. Haven't started it up in 6 weeks. No problems and it was good to get back in the driver's seat.

Didn't get to finish the tile install today. Mom went to a second Lowe's and they no longer carry it. They checked storewide and coincidentally the only one that still has them is the location by my house. I'll pick those up and finish the install this weekend. Then grout whenever I can.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Jeff Sessions has recused himself regarding any involvement with concerns of Hurricane Florence.
