Good Morning CGs!

October is almost over. Which means the year is almost over. Amazing. Hard to believe.

My chore today is to blow out the sprinkler system. Don't want any water in the lines over winter or that's an expensive and time consuming repair in the spring.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Greetings! I was out picking up leaves with my riding mower yesterday afternoon, and the engine started burning oil badly- lovely. This is only the 3rd season on this engine - ridiculous. Hopefully I can limp through the rest of fall with it.

Matt, it gets worse ;-)

Have a good day, yawlz!

IT'S RAINING AGAIN. THAT'S WHY THEY CALL THIS "GREEN COUNTRY": MILDEW. THE CHEROKEES ARE DISGUSTED.

MATT, I'D ALSO BE SAD TO SEE OCTOBER GO, IF WE HAD HAD ONE.

GOT A NICE LITTLE CHECK FROM MY TEXAS BANK; NICE OF THEM TO TIME IT BEFORE THE TULSA GUNSHOW :-) THIS IS A DNBFS DAY, GOING OVER TO OKMULGEE FOR SUPPER WITH #1 DAUGHTER AND FAMILY.

Success is when you look back at your
life and the memories make you smile.

Hey guys...I started early today. A former student called me on my way home yesterday asking about how to hang cabinets. Said he was trying, but, it's not as easy and straightforward as he thought it would be. "No SH!T". Well in the end he asked me if I would be able to come "help" him. I told him, it just so happened that I had some time tomorrow (today). We stopped there to look at the situation on the way home. I told him we'd be over in the morning to get going. I thought it should take most of the day. He said he had to work, but if I could/would come over he'd pay me. He said he talked to someone who quoted him $1k to hang them....."Naw, I'm thinking less than half that."

So today my help (Rosie) and I loaded the tools up and headed over to hang cabinets. Old house, crappy remodel job/add on from years ago didn't help much, but by noon we had all but one of the uppers in. Walls not plumb or square, so that presented a few issues....but nothing I hadn't seen before, just took a little longer than normal. After lunch, went back and got the base cabinets installed. He came home about the time we were finishing up and I made him decide how to fix the one problem we ran across with the upper cabinets and I helped him with the pattern for the top.

To fix the problem with the upper cabinet we encountered, I'll have to make a spacer block, stain and finish it before I can finish up that one installation.

Tomorrow, I work for Rosie. The county is having her move her office over to a different building and she needs some cabinetry moved/rearranged, so will start on that. Can't complete that job, as electricians need to come in and move some outlets/switches....looks to be another busy day.
