GOOD MORNING TO YOU---

CLEAR AND COLD IN THE NATIONS WITH A SLIGHT SOUTH WIND. LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER PRETTY DAY. YESTERDAY WAS REALLY NICE, SUNNY AND COOL, JUST RIGHT TO WORK OUTSIDE.

SWEETHEART GOT A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH FROM #1 DOGGY DOC DAUGHTER, EXCEPT FOR THE HEART WORMS, WHICH WE KNEW ABOUT ALREADY. SO SHE GETS A MONTH OF ANTIBIOTIC AND PREDNISOLONE BEFORE THE WORM KILLING STARTS.

AS EXPECTED, SHE WAS A BITCH TO LOAD UP, (PUN INTENDED) HERE BUT JUMPED RIGHT IN TO COME HOME FROM THE VET'S.

Hidey-ho! We're supposed to get a half-day off today, we'll see how that pans out (I have my doubts). Meanwhile, the evening will be spent in the kitchen, getting ready for the big event tomorrow. Gotta find those stretchy pants, too.

Have a good day, all!

Hey guys...got here in good time yesterday. 5 hours and 50 minutes with two quick stops. Not bad for 400 miles. Traffic was heavier than normal almost the whole way. The weather has been really nice though.

Not sure what the plan is for today, or if there is one. We will go see #3 and family a little later. They will be over tomorrow along with several others.

Our last dog could always sense when she was going to the vet - it was a wrestling match to get her in and out of the car, and she would try to scrunch herself under the seat.

I remember her first trip in the car - my son wanted to bring the puppy to daycare to show all the other kids, so we brought her one day. I went in and let all the kids see her, then put her back in the car. I had to run back in to take care of something, and when I got back out to the car, she had peed all over the seat, right where I needed to sit.

59 here in KC right now. Been helping get food ready for the big day tomorrow. Grandson #4 asked me if I wanted to play chess this morning. I made the chess set for him last Christmas. So I told him sure, then I proceeded to beat him pretty quick. He didn’t like it much, but was very congenial and said “good game”. I asked if he want to set them up and play again.....”no thank you, grandpa” was his response, but what he was really saying “Screw you, gramps you won’t let me win” he hates to lose, but he’s coming around to the fact that he cant always win. Some might think, “why crush the kids’ ego like that” and I say, “In real life you don’t win every time. Get used to it, losing builds character”.

Brad,
Dogs aren't stupid. That dog knew exactly where he was pissing. Mine are OK with going to the vet. A little shaky but they go. Two don't mind going to the groomer though. She's just down the street from the vet.
