Dogsitting for the neighbors, Sue has a flat on a trailer, continued work on the bathroom out back and whatever else presents itself as a priority on a Saturday. Rain projected in the mix but I have plenty to do inside the house also.

Morning guys...getting ready to head over and install some handrails. Warm already and headed toward near hell temp, 102 air temp and 107 with humidity. Like Marcus, I'll be looking for something to do inside this afternoon.

Good afternoon, all.

Just got back from Riviera Owner's Association annual meet. No, I don't have a Riviera … yet. Yes, it was amazing for helping me research my book. Pictures coming tomorrow.

In Corvette news, "The Last C7" brought $2.7 million for charity yesterday evening.

Seems like just a short while ago we were all waiting for the big C7 reveal..... wow.... somebody put the brakes on everything is moving to fast.....

I did buy that 17 Tahoe..... I got as good of a deal as possible in this day and age. hard to find a 17 with only 17K on the clock. In fact it belonged to the owner of the Chevy store.... he was upgrading. The old 2010 LT was getting up there..... they gave me 9K for it..... good rubber and nothing wrong wid it......

the 17 is Diamond White tintcoat so that is about as far opposite as you can go from Black on the 10.

New one has cooled seats as well as heated...... we had those on for the test drive and my oh my that does feel good..... 5.3 putting out 355 pony's...... and it has Mag ride...... smooooth...... pics when I get them.

BOTH FLEA MARKET AND GUNSHOW WERE A WASH. FEW FLEA VENDORS AND NOTHING INTERESTING AT THE GUN SHOW. COOLED OFF A LITTLE AND IT'S RIGHT PLEASANT OUT ON THE FRONT PORCH. THINK I'LL SIT OUT THERE AND EXPLORE BOURBON ON THE ROCKS.
BUENOS NOCHE, AMIGOS.

I love my 2015 Suburban and it's got the White Diamond Tricoat with a tan interior. Perfect for Floridah. Already had it over 2 1/2 years. Around 63k on the odometer. I bought it with 48k miles. Got what I thought was a great price of $40k. New sticker MSRP was $72k. I won't buy new anymore. Depreciation is a mofo.

Well the day didn't go like expected. I went out to the shop to get ready to go out and install the handrails when a former student, and friend, called me to ask about a bandsaw he had seen at a garage sale. It was at the school district in the next town over from us (7 miles).

He said "You can't believe what I bought for $20." Come to find out they were selling off some of the tools from the woodworking shop. So after I talk to him we agree we need to go back and look at the bandsaw (almost brand new and $1800 dollars new) they are selling for $300. So I meet him back over there and find another bandsaw that "needs a little work" which he prices to me for $50.... "Uhhhh, I'll take it." With a little investment (less than $100) I think it will be worth $350 -400. My friend buys the other, new one for $300.

As we are looking at that one, I notice a bench top CNC router..."Yea, it's not been run, nobody knows how to use it." Worth new about $1500-2000. How much for it? I ask. "How about $25...."How about I'll take it"

Also had a big wood lathe, probably worth around $800-1000,

"...is it for sale",
"nah it's already sold"
"How much you get for it?"
"$150"
"Darn I wish I'd been over here for that."
He also said he was hoping to sell the table saw soon, so I gave him my number and told him when he got ready to sell it, to call me.

I bought a couple other boxes of stuff spent a total of $85. I'm helping my friend sell the bandsaw and other things, he said he'd split the profits with me.

So this afternoon Rosie and I go out to do the handrails. I'm in the middle of attaching the posts and my phone rings and it's guy at the sale....

"Hey are you interested in that lathe?"
"Did the other guy back out?"
"Well, he went home and decided it was too big for his garage., and he said if I had another buyer, to go ahead and sell it"
"Is it still $150?" I ask. "If, so, I'll take it."
"Yup, $150."
"I'll be over Monday to get it."

Hopefully a profitable day.
