ANOTHER NICE MORNING IN THE NATIONS, 70 DEGREES, EXPECTED HIGH OF 82. THE CHEROKEES CAN LIVE WITH THAT. THE WEATHER WIZARDS SAY THIS WILL BE THE LAST COOL DAY FOR A WHILE, MID 90'S COMING UP.

I'VE GOT MOST OF MY OUTSIDE STUFF DONE WHILE THE WEATHER WAS CLEMENT, BUT THEN THERE IS WEED-EATING. ---WHETHER 'TIS NOBLER IN THE MIND TO ENDURE HIGH WEEDS OR TAKE ARMS AND BY OPPOSING END THEM---

WHAT WOULD SHAKESPEARE DO?

Good Morning CGs!

Got back from vacation a few days ago. The trip was around 1800 miles round trip from here to MD with a few stops along the way. Back in the swing of things around the house. Seems there is always something to do.

Gris, sorry the repairman had to come out but glad it's fixed. I'm at an unusual point in my life. When I was younger, I had no money and had to fix everything myself. Now I have the money, but I refuse to waste it on something I can do. I'm sure eventually I'll get to the point where I pay someone else to do everything. I'm teetering on the point where time is more valuable than money. (See dryer below).

Supposed to be hot and miserable this week. Oh joy.

Hope everyone has a great day!

good morning, almost afternoon to yall.
Been raining here off and on, not nearly as much as we were told - all due to "Barry". Was supposed to be home deep cleaning the house today but after two nights of nearly no sleep, ain't happening. Foot issues persist, went to doc suspecting a heel spur, xray shows one not large enough to matter. Sent me home to use a heel pad for 2 weeks. Neurologist visit this week and he asks WTF is wrong why limping? I told him the story, he was annoyed 'regular' doc didn't suggest plantar fascilitis as that's more common. I'm doing what I can for that and should have an impending podiatry visit when they schedule. I'm wishing my neurologist was my PCP instead - he's done more more good that my normal PCP.
Went to Little Rock Saturday to fix the door on Arron's moms' car where she wrecked it. Got her a replacement door free and painted as a return for a recent favor. She's back on the road now. Dreary day here might just go back to bed.

Good afternoon, all.

Now 27 pictures in the book, by Gris' way of counting.

Like many others on Guru, hunkering down for some serious heat later this week.

About three and a half days until the C8 introduction. Tick … tick … tick.

THAT IT IS, MY SECOND FAVORITE REMINGTON.

LOL WITH THE DRYER MATT, I TOOK ONE APART ONE TIME AND THOUGHT I'D NEVER GET IT BACK TOGETHER :-)

THANKS TO THE AWFUL, TERRIBLE, CATASTROPHIC, MEDIA STORM THAT DIDN'T DESTROY NEW ORLEANS, IT'S BEEN CLOUDY AND RATHER MILD HERE, JUST UNDER 80 DEGREES. UNFORTUNATELY THE HUMIDITY IS JUST OVER 80%. I GOT MOST OF THE WEED-EATING DONE.

KEEP UP THE FIRE, JOHN!

NAP TIME NEXT---

Honestly I think repairing appliances is much easier than cars. I'm the family handyman so between our house and relatives I've fixed half a dozen refrigerators, a few stoves, dryers, washers, microwaves, and dishwashers along the way. Usually it's a small part that goes out but the labor and service cost (plus parts markup) far exceeds the value of the machine. In this case I got a new rear bearing and front support bearing for my dryer in the $40 price range online. Worth it to me.

You're on the wrong forum page if you think time is more valuable than money. Look at all the grey hairs around here doing all sorts of odd jobs to save from paying outsiders .... like plumbers.
