Been really quiet around here recently. I'm up and around, it's cool to start, but won't stay that way. Supposed to by mid 90s today. That's about 10* higher than normal.

Not much on the agenda for today....a little work in the shop and church later.

I trust all of you are enjoying your weekend.

Out to cut the grass and toil in the jungle today. Past couple of days have been outdoors in the yard. One day overseeing a tank and drain field installation out back and doing a few related yard jobs. Painter started painting the shipping container out back with a custom Florida Everglades scene. pics upon completion. It's about half done now. Got two big dump truck loads of rock yesterday. 57 rock for out back for leveling and a load of pea rock to redo the driveway and parking area. Aluminum gutter crew comes in Mon or Tue to put a new gutter out front. Getting a pump, pressure tank and plumbing done for the new bathroom and electric will have to be run to from the building next door. Fun in the sun (and the rain). A rolling stone gathers no moss. There is no moss growing on me.

Marcus what is a good chemical weed and grass killer to be used around fruit trees. Not Round-Up or it's chemical copy cats. I tried the 30 percent vinegar, orange oil and soap mix with little to no effect in the shady areas. There are just some grasses and weeds that are unaffected by Round-Up. Whatcha think?

Yes they did....I am having Tee post a pic of them.... took awhile but they made it.

I'm thinking there are no grasses that Roundup is not getting. There are however broad leaves that the stuff won't touch. It's still the best contact killer we have for most weeds. Don't know how long it's going to be around though with all the lawsuits flying around. One of the reasons Monsanto sold out to Bayer....

Takes complete coverage of the plant with the mix while the plant is actively growing which it would be in your country. Liberty is another product you can use that is a contact killer. Better on Broadleaves but does have activity on some grasses. Roundup is best for grasses.

Anything else like 2,4D or a Dicamba such as Banvel has the ability to get up and float around and beat up your neighbors Pansy's...... or the soybeans across the road.

I would mix the Roundup a bit stronger and use more of it to drench the weeds and then see what is not dying.... let me know.
