Good Morning CGs!

The party on Sunday was a success. Lots of presents and lots of laughs. We got Olive Garden catering which I wasn't too sure of at first but turned out to be excellent. That was the birthday girl's request so we had to honor it.

Right at the end of the party we had more torrential rain and the power went out. Great. No power means no sump pump. Checked the battery backup....battery was dead. Wtf. My fault. I knew it was sketchy and I didn't replace it. So I used my lithium jump pack to run the backup for a bit. Then my neighbor got his generator from work and we hooked up our main sump pumps. Of course that's when the power came back on...lol.

TB, the cars look good. Definitely a GM family there.

Tommy, glad Sue is feeling better.

Marcus, when will the car be done?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Torrential rain was also in our forecast here last evening. The animals hunkered down in the kitchen so you know it was intense. It was the traditional thunder and lightening storm that will become more frequent over the next 5 months. They should provide a number of napping opportunities as peak summer approaches. I have no problem closing my eyelids as I listen to the rhythm of the falling rain.

Morning guys....partly cloudy, comfortably cool (now) and calm breezes. Headed to the low 80s today. Possibility for some moisture later in the week.

Still dead in the water with the saw and no real date for delivery on the new part yet. I have a couple of deliveries scheduled for today on some materials for a project.

We are still considering going to KC for the weekend. Both daughter there say, "Just let us know if you are coming".

THE SUN IS SHINING ON THE CHEROKEES, THE REST OF THE CIVILIZED TRIBES, AND THE WILD INDIANS TOO. LOVE IT!

GOT IN EARLY FOR THE TOMATO'S OIL CHANGE. I WAS THERE WHEN THE DOORS OPENED BUT THERE WERE STILL TWO AHEAD OF ME. NOW ALL THE CARS ARE SET FOR SUMMER.

WE'LL SEE A LAWYER TODAY AND GET OUR WILLS UPDATED. EVERYTHING IS HELD JOINTLY SO THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEM TILL THE LAST ONE DIES. THEN SOME SPECIFICS WILL BE REQUIRED.

LOOKS LIKE THE GROUND IS DRYING UP, MAY BE ABLE TO MOW BEFORE LONG---OH JOY :-|

Good afternoon, hope y'all have had a good weeekend.
Tommy good to hear she's up and about and recovering.
Speaking of foot surgery, mine after 6 months is still hurting. I asked him would I feel that screw in there he says he doubts it. Well I do. Both ends of it. He called me back yesterday for xrays and determined we'll go back in there the 5th and get the screw out. bone has healed enough to do without it. Jeez.
This weekend has been a disaster pool wise. A simple liner refit due to floating ended up being a $1500 separate pump install, four days and now it seems the deep end 'poolcrete' is collapsing. Just my luck. this house is cursed I swear. There goes all our vaca money we've saved for like 3 years since we've been unable to go anywhere for one reason or another forcing us to cancel. I have cried all I can and just done.
Where we live was swamp couple hundred years ago and has been farm land. 20 years ago our homes were built there. no water standing in all the time I can remember. 30+ years at least. last year we all flooded in this region. water table is waaaay up. and it still hasn't quit raining. farmers aren't pumping out water because it's still raining. to the point they can't get in to plant and are behind here. What that does for me is keep water behind my pool liner and now it's been bad enough to compromise the 'pool crete' shell.
I'm considering having the 10' deep end filled up to 8ft, removing the diving board and just putting a slide in. I think we'd enjoy that more anyway
And today got the call that the one in the nursing home has 101 fever. Says she feels fine but fever is an indication of something. Not sure what yet at this point, labs ordered
anyhow, prayers are welcome please and thank you

VB, dump the diving board. Raise the pool base to 8' and forget about the slide. If you're going to have kids over by all means get the slide. If it's for you and your bf, two times down the slide and it's over. Maybe a dancing pole instead. lol

Got a call a few minutes ago from the guy at the bank I've been dealing with doing the sneeze screens, the branch where we were over in the 'city' has 4 confirmed cases and today has 8 more sick and have gone in for tests...suspected. I didn't go near anyone while I was there, but now am wondering if I should stay home for another week before going to see the grands in KC...... I sure wouldn't want to take anything up there to them, so our trip to KC may not happen this weekend. Sh!t.
