CALM, COOL, AND OVERCAST IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THE CHEROKEES THINK IT'S SUMMER NOW.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA, I'M THINKING ABOUT GOING TO THE RANGE AND ZERO A RIFLE FOR SOME HAND LOADS. MUST OVERCOME THE INERTIA :-)

AND IN THE NEWS:
THE DEMOCRAT RIOTS CONTINUE, COURTESY OF THOSE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO BROUGHT YOU 1968. THE TALKING HEADS DEPLORE VIOLENCE AND ENCOURAGE RIOTING. NOW, JUST HOW DOES THAT WORK?

ALWAYS FORWARD, GURUS!

I two (being the twoth) remembered the riots in Boston during desegregation. I relayed that over 50 years and the issues remain the same. Even after legislation, billions of dollars, education, training, compromise and a host of other applications, equality is as evasive as ever. The breeding ground of descension remains alive and well like a Petri dish full of a decaying bacteria that will not die. One can only summise that if the Jews still remember slavery under the Egyptians after thousands of years that the Nubians will not forget their servitude after a mere 150. We are doomed to repeat the perceived injustice over and over again till the End of Days. A sign no doubt of the imperfection of man.

Good Morning CGs!

Our current dryer is 14 years old. I've replaced the bearing and glides a couple of times. I'd rather spend a few tens of dollars than a few hundreds of dollars. Alas it seems to be worn out. Not really a parts replacement scenario anymore. They're on sale for another day at Home Depot so I better act fast. Still not looking forward to spending $600 on a new one. Oh well.

Rioting / looting continues here in Chicago and the suburbs. No clear end in sight.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Regarding the tensions of the ‘60’s, I graduated in’73, but my brothers both in the 60’s. Dayton had its race riots as well. I remember there was a local Big Boy restaurant, and the week of the riots my brothers went out one night and sprayed the Big Boy face black as a prank. People went nuts! They thought the riots were coming to our suburbs! Our neighbors were like,” What’re we gonna do!?!?!“
That was then, now we have a new set of problems.
Please stay safe, stay well everyone.

another beautiful day here and supposed to be for a few days. Relief. Had a great weekend, and visit to a drive through safari, then tried to rest yesterday for some time to myself in the peace and quiet. Had to deal with pool company all afternoon and they'll be back tomorrow.
Have more at work to do than I know what to do with.
Got my Covid test this morning. I can't see why people would want to willingly do that if they aren't symptomatic. Talk about uncomfortable! I wasn't symptomatic but rather have a procedure Friday so had to be cleared.
Carry on and have a nice day

Hey guys....It was a HOT MFer today....98 as a high and breezy again.

Worked in the shop for a while, spraying finish. While waiting for it to dry, GS #3 and I decided to go over to #2 house and do some work outside for her. She is wanting to add some planting beds. I had a bunch of 5/4 treated boards that GS and Rosie turned into raised bed frames, 12 of them. Yesterday, we took them over and set them in place and screwed them together, roughly 40 feet long. The ground is very un-level, so today we went over to level up the frames.

The biggest problem was, it was already 92 when we started and no shade near. After getting about 30% done i had to stop. Took a break in the house, went back out and did another 30% and had to stop again. After another rest, we went back out and finished up, but I was SHOT. Rosie and I came home and I had her check my BP and it was WAY LOW 110/55....no wonder I could hardly function.

I decided to just relax, but noooooo, the lumber truck guy called and said he was 20 minutes away and they had loaded the truck wrong and there was a big load on top of mine.... "We can unload it by hand, but, using the fork would make things much easier." Oh, Hell yes, I was in no shape to unload a bunch of extra stuff and then reload it by hand. So I had him meet me at the school and unloaded my stuff and delivered it to my customer.

Went home and started the grill and grilled chicken for supper. After supper went back out to the shop and assembled the rest of the sneeze guards for the bank (what I sprayed finish on earlier in the day, they were dry). The guy is coming by in the morning yo pick them up.

I'm not ready for all this hot weather, but, they say more to come the next week...no relief in site.
