IT'S ANOTHER DRIPPY MORNING, QUITE MILD, THUNDER, LIGHTNING, WIND WITH AN INCH AND A HALF RAIN LAST NIGHT. MORE TO COME THEY SAY. DARLING WIFE ENJOYING THE NICE TEMPS ON THE FRONT PORCH, I'M READY TO FEED THE POOCH. HIS NAME HAS BEEN EXPANDED TO "TROUBLE UNDERFOOT" :-)

AND IN A NATIONAL SOCIALIST SEANCE ST JOHN LEWIS HAS SPOKEN FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE---SORT OF, AS THEY STILL HAVEN'T GOT AROUND TO BURYING HIM YET.
AND IN A TRIUMPH OF INANITY, THE UNITED PRESS INTERNATIONAL BREATHLESSLY REPORTS THAT A TEENAGER HAS SOLVED A RUBICS CUBE WHILE BOUNCING ON A POGO STICK.

Comin up a cloud here and bout to stawm later.
Not storm , but STAWM as in a throw down with it raining cats and dogs as my mom would say.
Slow day at the office and can't wait till it's over. For the last three days I've wanted to do nothing but sleep. Either it's due to me running my hiney off for the last 2 weeks or the impending weather or hormones or all of it. But, if it rains Saturday like it's supposed to I have a whole day scheduled for nothing but sleep.
Tommy, any word? Prayers continued.

Hello everyone. The good news is she survived the surgery. Doctors said it was worse than they anticipated. They got everything done they wanted to do and more. She is responding to simple commands and still on a ventilator. So she is over the first major hurdle but still in a danger zone as they stabilize her with medication and eventually work to taking her off the ventilator. So far so good. Thanks for the well wishes and prayers. She's a lucky lady. Docs said if she didn't have the surgery she would have been lucky o last two weeks. Maybe she'll get to stick around awhile longer now.

Now I'm prepping for Tropical Storm Isaias Pronounced Iz-ah-ee-as. I'm pretty well buttoned up but have to get some things off the floor in the back sheds in case of flooding. Plus place a blocks around the pond coping to keep the fish in the pond. 2020 is definitely up there with a year I will choose to forget. Good thing I'm a fairly healthy senior citizen.

Great news Tommy! And best of luck during the storm. I guess that's where our rain here is coming from, Isaias.

Good news Thomas...... Remember when all the big storms had women's names? I miss that..... but that all ended in 1979 when the women got fed up with weathermen using the female storm name in sexist cliches when describing their behavior...

Like Vicky is going to flirt with the coastline or is being a tease and holding off on landfall..... or Irma is going to be a real bitch.... she is so temperamental right now....

I'M ALL FOR NAMING STORMS AFTER WOMEN, AFTER ALL THEY ARE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH.

SINCE THE PC PURITANS HAVE DESTROYED THAT FINE OLD CUSTOM, I SUGGEST WE NAME THEM AFTER POLITICIANS. WHAT COULD BE MORE APPROPRIATE FOR A BIG WIND?

HOW ABOUT HURRICANE SENATOR---TYPHOON GOVERNOR?

Hey guys, that is good news Tommy....still saying a prayer for a successful outcome.

I was up early, loaded the pickup with all I needed to finish sis's basement project...well at least my part of the project. All that is needed now is carpet. got home around 6:30 this evening.

Pulled around to the shop to unload the tools, opened the door and was hit with a blast of heat and spewing air....OH, SH!T! Now what? One of the air hoses blew a hole in one end...who knows how long that was running... it was ok at 7:45am.

Oh, we got about 3/4" of rain yesterday evening and night. Rained another 1/4" while we were gone today.

Lots to do tomorrow.
