How are you all getting by? My life has changed quite a bit lately. I managed to retire and get my family the hell out of the city. We bailed at the beginning of the scamdemic. We moved to a 30 acre farm in a very rural area. My 1995 Corvette was in storage for over a year. The worst thing you can do to a car is let it sit. She is making strange noises and the drivers side headlamp is screwing up. I still got her inspected. My road is now a dirt road, so I don't take her out much. I got a little bit of a signal so I stopped in and did some reading. The last year has been very busy. Anyhow, the china virus caught up with us last week, and we got quarantined. My wife got really sick, my symptoms are just annoying. And to put the cherry on top, my six year old managed to give herself a concussion trying to get her tomahawk out of a target. Just the ramblings of an old retired guy on his front porch while smoking his pipe. How is everyone else doing?

Retirement doesn't seem to mean much around here. Most of us are always busy. Some buying new toys. Some trudging through the daily grind. Some getting phone calls at all hours. But, life goes on. Dirt road or not go out and put some rock chips in that 95. Drive it like you stole it or you'll end up like me with a semi annual rotation of cars going into the shop for this and that. I don't drive mine as much as I should and I hate to part with them. Hope everyone in your household gets to feeling better soon.

Good to see you back and posting. Congrats on getting out of the city and on a little plot of land. Pipe dream for me at this point.

Sound like the headlight motor bushings are shot. Pretty easy fix overall there are tutorials out there. Good luck!

Great to hear from ya, sorry you are all sick like that!

I hope your daughter is feeling better, too!

Dirt roads are not good for shine - truer words have never been spoken!

The headlight is an easy fix, really. But you do need to drive it. Just drive it and wash it when you get home!

EVERYBODY WELL NOW I TRUST, INCLUDING TOMAHAWK DAUGHTER :-)

LIVING IN THE COUNTRY IS WORTH A DIRTY CAR! I WOULDN'T MOVE BACK TO TOWN FOR ANYTHING. WE HAD SATELLITE INTERNET FOR A WHILE, IT WAS PRETTY SHODDY. THEN THE ELECTRIC COOP PUT IN A FIBER OPTIC SYSTEM THAT WORKS GREAT.

Hopefully the headlight repair went off without a hitch. They are not overly difficult, more of a tedious nuisance repair.

Thanks, things are going very well! Watching your 7 year old daughter doing cartwheels in a freshly plowed field is priceless. I got the headlights fixed, the new Nitto's will be here in a couple of days. I took your advice Bogus, I have driven the 95 around a little with her, ah, vintage inspection sticker. I didn't want to buy the chinese tires but they were all I could find for my repro ZR1 wheels. I thought about going back to the stock wheels but that would have required a re alignment. I'm really looking forward to driving my Corvette again, and thanks for the replies!
