Morning all..... just barely looks like.... last day of the family invasion....as some are drifting off to their own lives... all back to normal on Monday.... then we will start missing them all.....
I'm like Elon.... I do not like the way things are looking economically..... what the government is doing and has been for a long time is not sustainable..... and we all know you can't borrow yourself out of debt.... but they seem to think so.... meanwhile the idiots in charge pad their own riches and they do not care about us..... whatever happens it will eventually come back..... right? Hope so.... On that somber note I bid you adieu....... |

2014 Memorial Day Car Show Winner!

Evening guys, up early and off to the family reunion. Met up with my sis there and we went around the town seeing the site where relatives lived. Sis wanted to see the house where grandma and grandpa lived. Then I said we should go out to the farmstead. Sis said she hoped I knew where it was, as she had no idea. I said, I thought I remembered where it was, and we headed out of town. After some figuring in my head, I came to the conclusion I was probably 11 years old the last time I’d been out there. Well, I tell them, I think this is the turn and then driving a bit further I tell them “There it is”, and sure enough I took them straight to it. We pull up and stop, there was a lady standing there and I told her why we were there and she asked if we were related to so and so? No. Then she asked if we were related to Lee and mollie? Yup, they were our grandparents. Well, it was like we were old friends then. We talked for a while, then headed back to town.
It was a good time and we will probably come back again next year. Heading back to western Kansas in the morning. Will meet up with Marc in Salina. |
