Morning guys... Hot already, looking to reach into the low 100s (103 predicted today, 105 tomorrow)
Not a lot on the agenda. A small project at the church, install an AC for a guy in a rental, work on the china cabinet...thankfully, most everything is inside work. Have a great day, Gurus. |

good morning - already hot when I came out this morning, I'm still half asleep so visited the coffee shop next door for a 32-oz something or another. Big temps due this week, we're roasting down here, heck we're falling off the bone done already, shut the oven off, Mother Nature.
Still trying to pay Arrons truck off so we can buy me a vehicle. What is it with places that either want to hold your money so they can draw interest off it (bank) or another that don't want you to pay off something so they can keep charging interest (truck financing bank). So aggravated. I've missed two now that I'd like to have had, but his bank wants to put hold on check even though they took it out of my bank day one, it's nearly 2 weeks now. Then he tries to call in and pay off truck, they only do 2500 over the phone so he had to go get a cashier's check back from that bank, snail mail that shit to the lending agency and then now we wait another frikken month for them to drag their feet on "getting" it and crediting it. I wish God loved me enough for me to be rich so I could just go buy what I needed. Had I known all this bs I would've just got a cashier's check myself and sent it to his lending agency but they would probably figure out another way to delay it all. Probably wouldn't let me pay it off myself since it's not "my" truck. I'm told to give it to god and all that and that things will happen when they're supposed to. I guess so but I'm a very impatient human. Bout to send this van lady her fourth proof, she keeps changing it and then is going back to what we had first, so I'm annoyed at her right out of the gate. She tried to change one and it was already printed. |

Good Morning CGs!
Sounds like a real PIA, Letty. But the paint is looking good so there's a positive, right? I've been working a lot this week, sorry I've been MIA. Picked up the Trans Am yesterday. Hood and paintwork is done, my buddy did the back up camera, painted the calipers, detailed and ceramic coated it. Turned out great. Hope everyone has a great day! |

Looks great, Matt.
Letty, let go and let God have it. That's what I do. Went to an istallation dinner meeting and casino night fund raiser for the installation of the new board of the FNGLA (Florida Native Growers and Landscapers Association). The Miami Dade County Mayor thought it was important enough for her to stop by. Agriculture is apparently the second largest industry in Miami Dade County. I said hello to the mayor and Sue chatted with her as they know each other from fund raising for autistic children. The mayor was also our former district commisioner. Sue is a member of the Native Plant Society and Florida Association of Native Nurseries. She is also on the advisory committee for the University of Florida/IFAS Tropical Research and Education Center (TREC). Funny thing is she has been prodded by the Rotary Club and other local orginizations to join. I tell Sue she can only be involved in so much. She can't do everything. Not bad for a girl with only a high school education. When the the degree holding experts with little field experience stop in from time to time Sue has a lot of fun with them. She knows first hand what will grow well in this tropical climate. You see there is book smart ... and then there is experience. We sit with some of the biggest growers and support operation staff at these functions. Our small family run business is known by most of them. I used to be uncomfortible going to these functions but the more I go the more people I meet. The more people I know the more at ease I am. I'm sure Marcus would be right at home. |
