The "Coaster" is open to all types of specialty vehicles; hot rods, customs, muscle cars, trucks, motorcycles, sport cars, antiques, and others considered special-interest or collectible. The event motto is, "If it makes noise, vibrates and has a potential to leak oil....we love it!" This wide open approach, combined with the variety of events scheduled, virtually assure the participants and spectators alike, a fun filled weekend. \n\nThe Buellton community is opening it's doors and hearts to the specialty vehicle visitors. Local businesses, particularly those that are automotive related will provide open house opportunities for the registered participants throughout the weekend. The Marriott Hotel is event headquarters. Ellen's Cafe will be converted to "Hot Rod Cafe", with menus reflecting the choices of the 50's and 60's, and waitresses in poodle skirts and old school make-up. The Saturday non-judged car show on Buellton's famous Avenue of the Flags will anchor the celebration. Classic activities such as the Saturday, structured, parade-style, open-header cruise and Sunday 'Poker Run' will be contrasted with more creative events like the 'Gravity Drags', a soap box derby for adults.
