Hey guys, was Letty and I the only ones who were getting errors from the server? We couldn't get on for days. But I see there was activity all those days. I don't know.....

Been busy here. Cabinet materials finally came in today. And I was able to pick up a few odds and ends jobs to fill the time before they did.

John, glad to hear you are making good progress, don't push too hard. Bob, it's been pretty chilly here too. Tommy, cute picture.

Well, it's late and I need to shower yet.

Morning guys... Nothing but meetings yesterday afternoon/evening. I volunteered to serve as Grand knight another year...usually it's just a 2 year term, but last year wasn't a real year with all the C19 sh!t. This year wasn't a lot different, so....

It's a pretty day for the start. Looking for highs in the low to mid 70s today.

Have a great day folks.

Hey guys...

Marc, I do hope you are alright, something like that will take a few days to present itself. Knowing you, I'm thinking you probably did OK.

Busy here, doing a bunch of small crap. Replaced the sink and top in our bathroom... so that means, you know what....f@*king plumbing. Rosie emptied out the vanity and then I crawled under there to turn off the water, no leaks when I started, but as soon as I turned the hot valve, it starts shooting water everywhere. As long as it was on, it didn't leak. So I head down and grab 2 new valves, turn water off to the house and proceed to change them out...first time back on the cold water valve is leaking....crap! I have to cut the sheetrock out around the valve to get back there and remove it, second try no better, then, as they say, third time is a charm.

Set the new top/sink into place and then measure to see what we needed to fill the space where the old top backsplash was to the tile we had on above, then headed over to the 'city' to get some tile to fill in.

Back home I met a guy/friend who needed someone to draw up some plans so he can expand his business building. met with him from 7 to 9:15, then home to get it all down on the computer. Finished that up about 11:30pm.

this morning, I borrowed a tile saw so I could put those pieces it. Finished up a little trim job and delivered my tires out to the tire shop. 007 will get those installed on him next week.

Still need to grout the tile after while and have a church council meeting at 5:30 and Knights meeting at 7:30......thinking about a nap before then.

Morning guys....Was sleeping pretty soundly when we heard the front door bell ringing. It was the guy that called me yesterday to see if I could/would cut some pre-formed countertops to size for him and do a couple other thing on some cabinets he and his wife had bought at HD and installed in a utility room, but ran into situations where they (he) wasn't comfortable doing. Anyway I went over and had the little jobs done before noon. He stopped by after he got home from work last night (about 7:30) to thank me for getting on it so quickly (they weren't expecting it done that day) and wanted to know how much he owed me. I told him I only had a couple hours in the deal and told him beings they were friends $50 would be good. This morning when I went down he handed me an envelope and told me thanks again. when I opened it up it had two $50 in it.....I guess they really appreciated it.

Cold this morning, but is going to warm up into the mid 60s.

Morning guys...cool cloudy and windy here today. Chance of rain they say. Had about the same chance yesterday afternoon, but ended up with about 2 feet of wind and only a 10" rain (a drop on the ground every 10 inches), so we'll see how this plays out.

New tires coming tomorrow (supposedly) and I've ordered new TPMS sensors for the wheels...I think the ones on there are the originals and one is not working. Once that is all here, I'll make an appointment for James to get his new shoes put on.

Returning the key to the building this morning. With hopes that we will get the deposit back...I think, we left it better than it was when we got it... we'll see what he thinks I guess.

Should be getting cabinet parts delivered this week. Another kitchen getting ready to go.

Morning guys... slept pretty good but up to go to church. We 'got' to dog sit last night for the wedding couples' pup. He's been wondering around the house looking for them. So when it was bed time, we put his blanket on the floor...the next thing we knew, he was up on the bed between us. We coaxed him back down, but as soon as we turned to the bed, he was back up there with us. So instead of fighting him, he just slept between us.

The happy couple is supposed to come over after while to open their presents. I'm sure 'Fendi' (the dog) will be very excited and happy to see them.

I'll check back in later.

It's nearly Sunday here. Been a loooong day. Made several trips out to the wedding venue well before we had to be there for pictures. Open it up, meet the DJ, let the photog in, let the brides parents in.... Then back for the pictures... they did 90% of the pictures before the ceremony. The ceremony was nice, short and to the point. My Sister, and both of my brothers wives were there.....not sure we've seen them too much since my brothers' funerals.

Rosie and I led the "Grand March", the traditional start of the dance (from Rosies' side of the family) the brides' family had never seen anything like it, nor the DJ, but they joined in and had a great time. You could tell that side didn't do weddings like this often as they pooped out pretty early. Didn't really hurt my feelings, as we were able to clean up and get out of thereby a little after 9pm.

The bride and groom are supposed to come over tomorrow and open presents. We will get up and go to church then have them over.

I ended up ordering a set of Michelin AS 3+ ZP tires. Rosie was pushing for the RFs so that decision came into play as well. $1245 delivered to the house...then another $100 to have them mounted and balanced. The ride, I assume will suffer a little, but the peace of mind outweighs that slight difference. Rosie put it best when she said "It's a Corvette, not the Cadillac".

Morning guys....City shut power off last night at 10pm to do some maintenance to the system, so not much else to do but go to bed. Haven't been to bed that early in a long time. Funny thing, I slept until 7:30, when #2 called and woke us up.

Big day here, rehearsal, and then dinner here. #3 and family coming in today, 2 of #1s kids coming as well. I've got some primping to do around here so "it looks nice" for the dinner.

I priced new tires for 007 yesterday. Michelin AS4 ZP and non RF Continental DWS06.....still torn between RF and non RF.....leaning toward the non. Still have lots of tread on the Firestones, but they are 11 years old. No weather-checking and look like new yet. One of the folks at the tire shop said they would go ahead and run them, but I'm leery about the age. I would hate to be on a trip and have one blow...at that point, I'm forced to buy whatever is available, possibly very limited choices. I guess that can happen with new tires too. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? Keep driving the Firestones? Ditch the Firestones and go RFs? Ditch the Firestones and go non-RFs?

Morning guys...sunny, comfortably cool and breezy. Just waiting on GS and fiance to get here, so we can go out and see if what Rosie and I did yesterday is OK or if I have to change it. Fingers crossed that they are happy with it.

We missed all the moisture that Gris and Letty received. That all passed over us as it moved east and picked up the moisture about 100 miles east. All we got out of it was high winds for a couple days...we sure could use some rain.

Have a great day.

Morning guys.... Crispy cool this morning. Not supposed to warm up a whole lot today, upper 50s.

We are supposed to get the key to the building where the wedding and all the other things (except the rehearsal dinner) will take place, so we can start decorating/setting up. I'm guessing I won't get a lot done the next several days except for that.

Tommy, I trust that God exists as well. And, like you, I feel that he has guided me in my life.

Morning guys... Slept a little late. Seasonably cool, cloudy and calm today (so far). Supposed to be in the upper 70s.

Gris, one of my trees that I thought 'bit the dirt', because of the deep freeze, is finally coming out of it's deep sleep and putting a few buds on the limbs.

I, too, am concerned over the direction the country is heading, and even more concerned that the younger generations are OK with it.......

Hey guys, Nice day here. Up at normal time and out to the shop to do some cleaning/putting things away. I'm not out there very long when my phone is ringing...it's the HVAC guy for the church coming over to check out the AC units at church before we fire them up. So I meet him at the church while he does the maintenance. Then I have him come by and check out ours at the house.

After that Rosie and I headed down to the storage garage to mow there....it has warmed up and the wind is picking up. Turned right into Summer, 90* now. Went directly from winter last week to summer yesterday and today.

The dash has begun yo the wedding. More cleaning/primping around the house today, tomorrow we head over to the 'city' to pick up final things for rehearsal dinner...and Wednesday, we start the decorating of the venue.

Well, it is mid 70s out there and the pickup is now clean, the front porch and back deck have been pressure washed in prep for Fridays' gathering.

Got word from #1 that she, SIL and #2 GD won't make it to the wedding as #2 GD is a senior in HS this year and did not get a Prom last year and were not expecting to get one this year, but two weeks ago the school decided they would allow it. Rosie was disappointed they weren't coming, but happy for #2 GD that she was getting a Prom. Then last Wednesday, The older GD called and asked if would have room for her and GD #3 as they were coming for the wedding...Rosie is ecstatic, that they are coming

Going to be a busy week.......

Morning guys....was up late working on a materials list for a lawn shed for #3, so slept in some.

Not a lot on the agenda today, a little work in the shop and wash the pickup.

Yea, Gris, hoping to hear about Johns' surgery outcome.

It is nice today here as well. Supposed to reach into the 80s and light breezes.

Hey guys, up early and out to do our civic duty of picking up trash along the highway east from town. There were 9 of us, two on each side at each end and worked toward the center....Rosie was driving the pickup delivering trash bags and water to the guys. Only took about an hour and forty five minutes....not sure how many bags of trash we collected, but they were scattered pretty regularly along both sides of the two miles we take care of.

Once back, Rosie decided to run the mower over the yard, but the main mower wouldn't start dead battery (and no alternate way to start it), so we pulled the other mower out, and it wouldn't fire. So, I pulled the plug and it was gunked up and almost no gap. So I cleaned it up and opened up the gap...stuck it back in, and th first pull, she fired right up. So while she mowed I trimmed. We'll have to do it at least one more time this week, before Friday when we host the rehearsal dinner for #1 GS wedding.

My butt is dragging right now, but I am down to read at church at 4.......

Morning guys, chilly start, but promises to warm up some. Still a bit breezy too.

Not a tremendous amount to do today. Will head over to the 'city' later to take a plank back, as the job will only require 1 and I picked up 2. They are kind of expensive, otherwise I'd probably just keep it.

While over there, we will go watch #3 GS run a race at a track meet.

Tomorrow our KofC group is doing Highway Cleanup. That will take care of the morning.

Next week is going to be busy with #1 GS wedding next Saturday.

I hope johns' surgery is successful and makes his back better.

Sorry about the loss of the kitty, Tommy.

Saying a prayer for a great outcome, John.

got a lot done today. Checking off To Do: boxes left and right.

Never really warmed up much (49), but the sun was out most of the day, so felt warmer than it really was. The warm up starts tomorrow, low 60s, then into the 70s and 80s for the next week. We'll see... I hope that is the case, we could use some nice weather next Friday and Saturday for the GSs wedding.

Morning guys.... Bob, I hope you are able to get back to the normal shift.....not sure I could do the graveyard. Rosie did that shift when we first got married. We would meet at the front door each morning as she was getting home and I was leaving to go to school.

Cold and cloudy this morning. My lumber truck is going to be here in a few minutes, so got to get going.

Later guys.

Hey guys, was sleeping well this morning when my phone started ringing....tried to answer on my watch...no go. So I get up and see it was #2, so call ger back. She has taken the morning off to take #3GS to the 'city' to get his first C19 vaccination. Well we DID have snow last night, about 3" on the ground and she tells me her SO told her there were lots of cars off the road between here and the 'City', so she wants me to take them over.

Rosie decides that she can do a little shopping while I take them to get the shot. So we jump in the PU and creep over to the 'city'. The roads are sheets of ice, so 20 to 35 MPH was all we could muster. Once over, I drop Rosie at WallyWorld and take #2 and GS to Walgreens to get the shot. They are not in there more than 3 minutes and here they come. Even though their website said they had the one approved for 16 & + year olds, they didn't, so no shot for him. So I head over to the lumberyard and pickup a couple of planks I need to build a mantle then out to pickup Rosie and head home.

Work in the shop on hanging doors on the cabinets then applying walnut veneer to replace on an antique table. Then the phone rings and the FedEx Freight driver is calling to deliver the replacement cabinet parts that were damaged in the last bunch.

My lumber truck driver also called and said he would not make it today, so I decided to load up the cabinets and haul them out to the place where I will be installing them. By the time we get back to the house it's after 5:30.......

I'm tired and ready for bed.

Morning guys.... Sure Tommy when do you want it? Next week? Maybe Tuesday, I can have that done....... Beautiful car and quite the accomplishment. Tommy, you'd better see if you can buy it from him....

Sunny and cool this morning. headed toward the upper 60s to low 70s, then drop below freezing tonight and a high of low 40s tomorrow with howling north winds tomorrow.

Well, I went out to try and mount the doors I finished up spraying yesterday and find out that I either mis-cut or mis-figured the length of the rails....anyway, they were 2 inches too big, so I had to start over on those 4 doors....CRAP. Before quitting for the day, (night) I got new doors glued up. Today, I will get them sanded, stained and finished.

Morning guys....Cold this morning, but clear and sunny, and they are predicting a warmup into the low 60s. Tuesday is promising to bring winter back, though.

I'll try to take advantage of the nice weather today by spraying some finish on a couple cabinets I was asked to build, last week, for the county treasurers' office.

Have a great day guys.

Hey guys, up and around and out to the shop. got some staining done and pieces cut for another project. Now I'm doing some laminate tops.

Cold this morning, cloudy and damp too. Next few days aren't too much like spring...more like late winter. The snow yesterday melted almost as fast as it hit the ground.

Church a little later, then we have a fundraiser to attend this evening. I donated some things for the auction, so I got a free admission but we paid for Rosies'. A good meal is our return.

Morning guys...Up before 8 today...not sure why. I awoke to snow coming down. So I guess that means it's cold out there. Not expected to warm up much...maybe mid 40s

Yesterday, I got all the doors sanded but got sidetracked when I went to measure and make a template for a couple countertops at the office where #2 works. Her boss, a former student, got the OK to do a bit of remodeling/updating. I had told him to let me know when he got to the point of needing the tops.I had told him I had some of my solid-surface tops we could use. When I got there and made the template, I decided it wouldn't take too long to just do them. But in order to get to the pieces I needed to move some things and Rosie couldn't help with that, so I called a friend (another former student) and he said he could come over right then to give me a hand. Then he hung around while I cut the tops to size and shape then he helped deliver and install them. Saved my back.

Today, the plan is to rout the edges of the doors/drawer fronts and install them on the cabinets. With it cold, wet and snowing, it will be a good day to NOT be outside.

I hope and trust all of you will have a great day.

Morning guys...slept in, but need to get going. Cold, cloudy and damp this morning. They say we are in for some cold rainy days today and tomorrow. Supposed to return to more spring-like temps next week.

Morning guys... Yea, I'm on Wednesday. Slept in and not too motivated to get going. It was pretty chilly when I got up and only 40 now. At least the sun is shining. Mid 50s for a high.

I have a couple of doors to build today. I put cabinets together yesterday and mounted drawers. I'm way ahead of the builders and the cabs will have to go out into their storage area until I can go install them.

Have a great day.

Hey guys, Cold here today...started out below freezing, but has warmed into the upper 40s.

Work out in the shop.

John, prayers sent your way. And hope that the surgeon can give you some relief. Tommy, I like your train of thought. Letty, time marches on whether we are ready for it or not.

Hey guys, much cooler today, but the sun was shining. Finished cutting the car show plaques and delivered them. My cabinet materials were delivered and I got them inventoried and checked for accuracy (some issues). Called the company and have replacement pieces coming. The rest of the pieces have been stained.

More to do in the shop now.

Morning guys...slept in again. Materials didn't show up yesterday, so I guess maybe Monday. Been kind of a long week with nota lot to do. I'm supposed to cut a couple of plaques for grand openings of new businesses in town, but the guy never sent me the info, so, even though I told them I had time this week that didn't happen. I was also supposed to do award plaques for the local car show (Memorial weekend so there is still time).

A much nicer day here...chilly start, 35 now, but headed to the mid 60 they say. The best part is light breezes...not the hurricane gales we have been experiencing. Mid to upper 70s tomorrow.

Have a great day.

Hey guys, was up earlier than usual, but had an appointment to have the radio in the Corvette fixed....XM antennae was chafed and grounding out causing it not to work. Had Rosie follow me over and we did our grocery shopping for the week.

After the nasty day yesterday, we have ourselves quite a turn around mid 70s and light breezes.

Letty, that's still cheaper than OSB prices around here...pushing $40/sheet. Looking at re-shingling the storage garage. Luckily it's 'only' 5 square. I think I can buy the materials needed for under $600. I already have a box of nails for my shingling gun and one roll of tar paper.

Yea, that look back was interesting. I miss Brad and Bill too.

Hey guys, slept in then ran some errands. This afternoon, it has been more 'fixing up things" around the house. I really hate hosting events as Rosie thinks everything must be "fixed up"......It's not that I mind doing these things, but we seem to let them go, then, all of the sudden they all have to be done NOW.

Church council meeting at 5:30, then KofC meeting at 7:30.

Been a chilly day...actually snowed a bit this morning, but rebounded into the mid 50s. Back to 'real' spring tomorrow.

Hey guys, AWOL yesterday. Not much to say. Didn't get a lot done. Finished smoking two 11 lb pork butts for pulled pork when we host the rehearsal dinner for #1 GSs wedding May 1...rehearsal dinner April 30.

Then, because we are having the dinner here, we have to 'touch up' a few things. So I spent the day painting the basement stairwell and walls in the basement. Today I'm on line to do some painting out around the shop (which is in the backyard, so "people will see it").

Got to get moving.

Hope DW is doing better, Gris. I saw that she had a bad day.

Well, the ribs didn't last long. Three grandsons (ages 24, 19 & 16) took care of 1 1/4 racks, Rosie, #2, future GD-in- law and myself took care of the rest. I must admit, they were very tasty.

I've got 22lbs (2 butts) on the grill now, and overnight, for pulled pork for GS #1 wedding rehearsal dinner at the end of the month. Should take about 20 hours to cook. The wedding is May 1.

slept in a bit this morning. It was still in the 60s when we went to bed, so we left the windows open. 49 when we got up and 70 in our bedroom. Headed to the upper 80s today.

I've the got Pit Boss fired up and 2 racks of ribs ready to go on in about 30 minutes. #2 and family are coming over this afternoon to help us eat them.

Church last night (8:30pm) lasted 2 hours, but a really great service. it was good to see the church thst full again.

I trust, all of you will have a wonderful Easter.

Hey guys, slept in then headed up town to the grand opening of a new Local owned coffee shop. Some friends (one a former student) opned it up. After that, I picked up GSs #2 and 3 and we went golfing. First time out for #2 and myself.

Absolutely gorgeous day low 80s and very light breezes.

I'm doing ribs tomorrow.

Morning guys...slept in a little. Beings it is Good Friday, we are fasting and abstaining today. My stomach is growling and I'm craving ribs.....typical of today.

Not a lot on the agenda, Good Friday service at 3. Still waiting on materials for a cabinet job. Might try to go out and play golf with grandsons #2 and 3.

Breezy and seasonably warm now and headed toward an unseasonably warm mid 70s this afternoon.

Thinking I might go out to the garage and clean the inside of the pickup. Have a great day gurus!

Morning guys..I'm up, but not very motivated. Pretty chilly at 28 now, but supposed to warm up into the upper 60s.

Yes, Tommy I have noticed thiings have gone gownhill since you retired at the USPS.....maybe you should go back to work for them....in your spare time.

Headed up to the church hall to try and FINALLY finish the trim that we couldn't finish last year because of C19. We finally got the trim in , but we have been so busy we couldn't get back to finish. I'm waiting on some materials for another job, so I figured today I could finish it up today.

Have a grear day guys.

Hey guys, not sure where the day went.....or what I got done... kind of like Marc saying where did the month go...which I agree, it went by way fast.

Happy birthday to U-woman. Gris, I know exactly what you mean about the USPS. Tommy, it is more fun to drive them, than to watch them sit.

Stations this evening and Holy Thursday, Good Friday services the next two days.
