I must be eating some fruits or vegetables that are making my thoughts process differently. Maybe some Covid PTSD that is altering the way I approach things as I try to resume our old life flow patterns. Looking for some pet sitters to watch the animals while we are gone. Sue has a lead on a couple of 20 something young ladies that want to do it. We really need to secure someone to oversee all out pets while we go on vacation(s). Two weeks to lock that down. I have a professional pet sitter that could possibly do it but having two locations, the nursery and the house, would make it pretty expensive. Sue has a worker at the nursery but unfortunately he is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Good worker but he needs guidance and supervision. The way Sue and I see it, even if the pets were fed half as much as we feed them, they would survive till we get back. So that leaves a wide berth for mistakes. Oh well. Problems of luxury.

OVERCAST, 76, STICKY, ICKIE, 60% CHANCE OF RAIN. THE CHEROKEES ARE DEPRESSED.

THE MOBILE DETAIL MAN DUE AT 0900, HOPE HE CAN GET DONE AND NOT GET RAINED OUT. HE CAN FINISH UP IN THE GARAGE. HARD WORKING YOUNG MAN, GOES BY "SLIM", NOT A COMMON NICKNAME THESE DAYS. WHEN I WAS YOUNG THERE WERE LOTS OF "SLIMS"; NOW EVERYONE IS FAT, I GUESS :-)

TODAY'S PROJECT IS TO FINISH CLEANING OUT THE STORAGE ROOM, WHICH IS FULL OF EMPTY BOXES AND ASSORTED JUNK.
THE DUMPSTER MAY RUNNETH OVER---

THE WILDLIFE IS GETTING BACK TO NORMAL IN THE YARD, EASTERN AND WESTERN RABBITS, WHITETAIL DOES AND FAWNS, MORNING AND EVENING. THE BIG FREEZE AND HEAVY RAINS SEEM TO HAVE PUT EVERYTHING, ANIMAL AND VEGETABLE OUT OF KILTER.
THE TICKS ARE DOING WELL, HOWEVER.

Hey guys....nothing doing today. I did get a message from Marc, today was the memorial service for his mom and step dad up in Montana. He sent me pictures of the set-up at the church with the two cremation boxes I did for them.

NO RAIN TODAY, AN INCH IN THE GAUGE FROM LAST NIGHT. SLIM WORKED FOUR AND A HALF HOURS ON HARVEY, CAR LOOKS LIKE NEW. THE DUMPSTER IS FILLING RAPIDLY AND I'M ONLY HALF DONE WITH THE STORAGE ROOM.

WHILE SLIM WAS DETAILING HARVEY I GOT THE TRUCK WASHED BY A FLOCK OF TEENAGE GIRLS RAISING MONEY FOR SOMETHING. NOT AS GOOD A JOB AS THE BIG INDIAN AND HIS LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL TEAMS USED TO DO, BUT OPTICALLY SUPERIOR :-)

SUN CAME OUT THIS AFTERNOON AND STEAMED US. RAIN TOMORROW, THEY SAY, OH JOY---

I'd like a flock of teenage girls here to wash my truck...

Just saying.
