Subject: Autolite Platinum Spark Plugs by biggrizzly on 2008/1/11 4:49:26 I was at the speed shop today. Speed Unlimited they are large mail order house just happens to be across the street from where I work. Anyhow the sales guy is usually pretty straight with me, and today he talked me out of buying the more expensive NGK Iridium plugs in favor of the Autolite Platinum AP-106. They were a hell of a lot cheaper than his NGKs and Accels. He claimed that for my mild buildup I would be just as well served with the standard platinum plug. True? I figured I'd take his word - since he was down-selling, but he has done that on some other stuff like pushrods, which I had picked out some really expensive comp pushrods and he said I didn't need all that either. Oh well - I like saving money as long as the parts do what I need them to do. |
