The chip/board should be keyed (as ALL electronic connectors are).

Putting in backwards with power to the wrong connector could blow the prom depending on the circuitry path. Which is why things are keyed.


I installed it before the SR and took a picture of it. My son put the chip in after the flash from PCM and thought he may have put it in wrong.
I pulled it and it looks correct
